He's been outstanding. Really looking forward to seeing him in the LIT next month.

The article in the C-J this morning said Doss played without 6-6 forward Tyler Jefferson for the second game in a row. Didn't say why but did include Coach Williams saying he wouldn't play tonight or Tuesday night. Anyone have an idea what's going on? Injury?

Can Doss beat Trinity?

Can Doss beat Trinity?

Doss has been solid, but Trinity's defense to this point this year has had a way of making really talented teams look far less explosive.

Can Doss beat Trinity?

To the extent any team has a shot at betting Trinity, Doss may be the team. Doss would have a decisive advantage in quickness. Against Newport Central Catholic, Doss spread the floor and put their quickness to good use. Trinity does have Spalding underneath protecting the rim, but it seems that he has been in foul trouble a couple of times already. Trinity definitely would be a solid favorite, but I think Doss would have a shot.

Shaping up to be the best LIT in years.

Agreed. It's seriously my favorite thing on the basketball calendar. I love it more than the regional and state tournaments. The format they've switched to in recent years (the best of the Sixth and Seventh and no one else) has made the tournament a true city championship.

With the apparent rise of Manual and resurgence of Eastern in the Seventh to go alongside Trinity and Ballard and with the talent and skill at places like Doss, PRP, Bullitt East, etc. over in the Sixth, I can't wait for this thing.

I'm pretty sure Owensboro is still without there starting point guard. Also, Phillips is the name mentioned here in the OHS vs Warren Central thread....great tourney so far..hope a Kentucky school wins it...

Rule 13

Doss has looked quite impressive, hustle, hustle, hustle, they play with more than any team i've seen to date! I picked them for the finals at KOB, but Taylor Co. put an end to that. What a great tourney so far!!!
