  1. Good evaluation ITP, both semi finals should be very good matchups!
  2. Yes i think it went close to script, a little shaky in the first half.
  3. There will be no 6th, the streak is over...Way to go Lady Chargers!!!
  4. Best part of this video...Yes there he is, BigDuke6, top row, just left of the mid court stripe, tan sweater, both arms raised...Basket good! C'mon guys, a little self promotion never hurts...LOL!!!
  5. Correct GoHardITP, Jefferson did play in the earlier matchup, he had 10pts. 9rebs. Though I am not so against East playing the 2 bigs together...Depending on the pace of course, it gives East more of an inside advantage. If it's up and down, then a key component could be the role of East freshman Luke Ezzel, who really grew up in the district finals against Fern Creek. Even though he had a couple of turnovers, overall he really handled the tenacious all out press of FC. He was maybe the the most important factor for East in the last 4 minutes. Also mtn bball u bring up a good point...Yes Sharpe is the leader but East is a quite balanced scoring team, I believe every starter has had at least one 20 pt. outing this year. So focusing on shutting down Sharpe, may not be a bullet proof method.
  6. Yes congrats to all these young ladies...A special congrats to Lindsey Duvall, for player of the year honors in a pretty loaded 6th region, only a Sophmore, keep up the hard work, special times lie ahead!
  7. Doss and East should get by they're first round opponents, though i cannot totally discount NB, there is some talent on that team. The bottom half of the bracket looks really interesting. I expect FC to advance over Moore, and then to the best first round matchup...PRP vs. Desales. Wow what a tossup, I suppose a slight advantage to PRP just for playing at home, should be a great game. PRP, FC, or Desales either of these three I can see in the finals. Doss and BE should be a great matchup as well, the earlier game between these two, went down to the last minute. Fouls could play an important role in this one.
  8. Thanks for posting this lvspcstr. And yes with sound! I knew it was close, that he got the shot off in time. The FC fans were losing they're minds saying it was no good, glad the officials got this one right. But what a moment, it really jolted the place into a fever pitch. I was even more surprised it went in being those were about the tightest rims i have seen in any gym!
  9. Yes Rakes did come alive, it was so good to see him break out! This game looked very bleak for East, Dixie was having their way, in the half court sets ( 0ffensively and Defensively ) The big difference being in the 4th Qtr. East applies full court pressure, which took Dixie out of they're comfort zone...Turning them over, and throwing their shots off a bit. Then simply enough East starts making 3's. Led by Rakes, who I think made three of them in the final period, also Senior reserve Austin Wheeler made 2 huge three's down the stretch. The closer East got, the more tight Dixie seemed to become. The big finisher came with the game tied with under 40 seconds left, East held the ball for the final shot. And with 10 seconds remaining, got the ball in the hands of Tyler Sharpe, who pulled up for about a 21 footer, with good defense in his face, and hit nothing but net, with 1.4 on the clock. I must add, I give so much credit to Dixie, they are sooo well coached, they understand positioning, especially on the defensive end of the floor!
  10. I believe that is correct "mtn bball" as of the latest measurement Sharpe is at 6'1
  11. The rankings look to be in descent order. It's good to see East get back on stride coming down the stretch. They still have they're lapses, but for that matter who doesn't i guess? PRP is starting to be a mystery to me, are they minus a player right now...Anyone know? Still have two weeks in the regular season to go. Will be interesting to see who finishes strong!
  12. As far as Bullitt East is concerned they go 6'9, 6'7. and 6'3 on the front line...6'1 and 5'11 in the backcourt...With 6'4 off the bench
  13. Not that I have seen every team out there, but Johnson and Peyton Woods of Wayne Co.are the two best shooters i have seen this year!
  14. I am not an insider nor a parent of a player, but I am a big fan of the team. We all know that this team is under achieving ( yes an understatement ) I believe the tone is concernment, anxious, but still hopeful. I talked to a couple of the players after this loss, and they truly believe that they will get there. I even questioned them on that, and they looked me in the eye, and said it will happen. So can they? I don't know...Have they? Yes especially at the KOB. The clock is ticking, but I will say, there is still hope!
  15. mtn bball, I get what your saying...But if East goes .500, then an immediate firing must take place!!!
  16. This is my 4th straight year of following Bullitt East, I have been to all but 5 games this year, and I am really starting to scratch my head. Now I said previously that they must start playing more inside - out, and they did a bit more of that last night. The problem is, they are missing way too many easy shots, many of them point blank. East also kills they're own runs, whether through lazy passing, very questionable substitutions, or as against Fairdale a very untimely technical against a player for talking smack. East also plays to their competition....They beat teams like Holmes, Wayne Co., Manual, South Shore Brooklyn, and takes Doss to the wire, but then loses to mediocre teams like a Fairdale. I also believe there is a lack of leadership on this team, they take too many possessions off! At this point it could go either way for them...They could make an early exit, or they can be playing in the regional finals.
  17. I believe inconsistency is the best way to describe this East team this year. Even without Rakes...Way too many turnovers, especially on the pass. I am convinced East needs to simplify the game, go inside - out, the post play matchup is usually always in they're favor, with the 2 bigs...Go to it! I see way too much dribbling, and soft perimeter passing. Take it down low more, and if the defense collapses, both bigs are very descent at finding the open man. Substitution pattern still needs improving, when East has 3 subs in at once, good things rarely happen, too many times they have killed their own runs. I give credit to Collins tonight, they worked the ball well around the perimeter, and got open three's all night long.
  18. Big win for East, the big kid Bacon was a beast all night, and Sharpe took control down the stretch. It looks like they are starting to put things more together. As long as the coach gets away from the wholesale substitution routine (Which kills their momentum every time), this team will be much better served. A big challenge now is that East has to go to Manual Tuesday night, it will be interesting to see if they can handle the pressure, knowing that Manual will be super pumped for revenge!
  19. A Good game throughout, East had the ball down 2 with around 40 seconds left, then had a couple of bad turnovers...The 6th region is setting up to be a battle!
  20. Actually in this game, East was doing most of their damage with both bigs in the game. Though throughout the game there were a variation of mixed lineups.
  21. Pat the rock u are dead on this one. East was having they're way with FC, and building momentum, then all the sudden massive substitution, pretty much a JV squad out there...FC rolls off 8 straight, gets back in the game, builds confidence, now has momentum, then it's a dog fight the rest of the way. We were all scratching our heads by the coaching decision...Especially in such a meaningful game!
  22. Was not at this one, looks like East is prolonging they're best Jeckyl & Hyde impersonation...39 pts? Consistency anyone?
  23. It all depends on the matchup, like against South Shore the 6'9 kid Bacon led the team with 19 pts. and 3 blks. he was a force down low, and would not have won without him. I agree with you that against a smaller quicker team the 3 guard lineup would be better suited, which as u stated they used that lineup as well. BE's coach usually substitutes quite frequently anyway, each game he's searching for a fit. Though he does have the luxury of going big or small.
  24. Quite a few, most from Pangallo, I can personally remember 3 in a very short time...2 over and backs, and one pass in the lane that went directly to a Ballard player, plus he missed a chippy or two down the stretch. They definitely let this one get away. I was so impressed with the McDonald kid through the whole Tourney. I like this team..They will be in contention for State!
