  1. Trinity has been drawing the same percentage of players from public and private since I played at T 20+ years ago!! I didn't hear these complaints from X when we were getting smoked on a regular basis during most of the 90's, please stop with the excuses. :idunno: X has plenty of talent and capability to beat T, just see last season. On with the game....!
  2. And now, back to the game........! Rocks 35 X 24. X fans relax, you have a difference maker and his name is Ridder, if he doesn't turn the tide for you guys this year I can almost guarantee he's gonna have a monster year next season. Trinity will have a tough time containing him on the turf, the kid can run so I do predict X will put points on the board against T. The difference in my opinion will be the Defenses, X is just giving up way too many yards to hang with T on the scoreboard. If X wins I wouldn't be shocked but I just feel their D is going to give up too much.
  3. One exception to that, if you play a varsity sport you cannot receive more than 50% of your tuition from financial aid, that does not apply if you you are a regular student, KHSAA rule. And once again, an independent company in OH I believe determines the "financial need" of each family.
  4. I have no sympathy for X, when they win they rub it in, when they lose there's always an excuse, good Luck Friday!! Blah blah
  5. I'm sensing this too as in the comment made earlier that "Trinity has a philosophy and X does too. Differences causing fans to not be as engaged or involved." Would love some expansion on that thought....!
  6. Thanks for setting the record straight on this, so many still believe that a majority of our guys come from non catholic schools etc, this shows how important the CSAA feeder system still remains to T and X for that matter, couldn't field a team without them!
  7. Sorry Male if we prefer to have more than 3 or 4 competitive regular season games a year, unlike you guys who typically have 2 or 3, maybe, enjoy the regular season... Not fun to me, great post
  8. No clue what to expect... On paper Trinity wins 14+, but we all know this game isn't played on paper.. Go Rocks!!
  9. I agree this score is a head scratcher but if you are looking for a trend, the X offense obviously is struggling when faced with inclement weather & a muddy turf. This won't be the case Friday night on the artificial turf at Papa Johns so I expect a better X offense. But X's defense is what really would concern me, that's a ton of yardage to PRP considering what Trinity's D did to that PRP offense.
  10. Male has a fantastic team this year, don't get me wrong, I just find it hilarious how they(the fans) celebrate like they won the championship when they beat us.... Been 15 years & counting since they've brought home the trophy, we have 11 in that same timespan #Perspective
  11. Keep on drinking the purple koolaid, last time I checked they don't hand out State Trophies for a regular season win(or a scrimmage for that matter)..!
  12. I just remember last year when PRP beat our freshmen team, all their coaches came over shaking all of our coaches hands and thanking them for playing, total class act by those guys, so glad to play these guys & totally rooting for them! Outside of Friday!!! Lol
  13. So if I'm reading this right the District 3 Champ would potentially face the District 4 Champ in the 3rd round correct?
  14. So are we in the second year of the 4 year realignment period?
  15. Does anyone know how the playoff bracket lays out this year? Would St. X & Male most likely play in the second round this year? Just curious, Trinity played at Male in the second round last year but they were in the same district, not the case this year. I thought there was a post about the bracket this year but i can't seem to find it, thanks!
  16. PRP is definitely a program on the rise & credit their coaching staff for wanting to schedule this game for at least the next 2 seasons. They realize in order to beat the big boys at the end you need to play at least one of them during the regular season. PRP has a lot of talent but I'm picking the Rocks 42-7.
  17. And no, I was not one of the few to stay till the very end... there were plenty of Trinity parents, fans & students there till our team exited the field.
  18. Your assistant started that exchange after the regular season game, I digress... The point is, congrats to Male on a great game!! How's that for a sore loser?
  19. Sore losers? You mean like when Male won in the regular season last year they danced all over our emblem at midfield then when they lost in the playoffs all they wanted to do is fight? Is that what you mean by sore losers? I stayed till the end and watched all of our players walk across the field and congratulate Male on a great game, and I too congratulate Male on a well played game, no clue where you are getting the sore loser part. I'm for one elated the state championship is once again going to be something you have to EARN, I believe we'll be up for the challenge come playoff time, Go Rocks!!
  20. You can park very near Preston Hwy in the school parking lot, easy to get out of there if you do, expressway right down the street
  21. Nevermind, that was already stated about OOS competition... Once Male, Trinity & St. X play each other it will all sort itself out anyways.
  22. We had trouble with the kickoff coverage last year with Male, almost cost us the playoff game as they ran it all the way back to our 15 or 20 after we just went up 10 & they scored a TD about 2 plays later!! I hope we get this fixed asap!!
  23. Yes, Hayden Shelton can run, he's a great athlete, he brings a new wrinkle to Male's offense, Mattingly wasn't mobile for them last year. They will definitely throw some designed qb draws etc in there for Friday night, always tough to deal w/ a running qb for sure, will be a great test for the Rocks D!
