Holmes played ZERO defense the whole game (which sometimes happens early in the year) But what suprised me most was, Holmes couldn't hit shots at all. I have no idea what the percentage was.

Fun game to watch. But Beechwood absolutely self destructed. Two or three bad snaps to the QB. Throwing interceptions, fumbling the ball. Getting beat deep two or three times. Untimely penalties, etc. But I enjoyed watching Mayfield and wish them best of luck next week.

My friends and I used to go to the finals every year. went like 30 years in a row. We have not attended since it was moved to WKU. Looks like i wont be going for another 4 years. Just am not going to drive 4 hours or more to watch high school games when I have no kids, school, etc. involved

No, I did officiate. I stopped when my kids started participating in sports. And i did officiate here in NKY.

I have no dog in this fight, but I went to this game because I thought it would be a good one. BUT, this was a HORRIBLY officiated game. I was a high school football official for 10 years, I know its not easy, and rarely, if ever criticize them. There were phantom pass interference and holding calls, WV recovered an obvious fumble which the refs blew dead before the runner was anywhere near down. I was really disappointed in the officiating, to say the least. Having said that, It was a fun game to watch, And congrats to both teams on great seasons!

have you even seen them play? no way newport has more talent. and I think WV would have beat them the first time if Lattimore does'nt get hurt. Newport could not stop him

really? they return their QB. one of the best running backs in NKY, Their best defensive end, their two best DB;s two or three O-lineman. i think that is a pretty good nucleus.

SK's linebackers were non-existent. Dixie totally dominated in EVERY PHASE of the game. I watch SK play sometimes and wonder why they NEVER make adjustments on defense. They stay in a three man line on defense, NO MATTER WHAT.

You said in the other thread that this game should have no bearing on who is number 1 in NKY. But either way, HHS should stay #1 until someone in NKY beats them. That Miami team in my opinion would beat ANYONE in NKY

I am rooting for HHS. I always root for the local teams. Just some HHS fans get salty if they lose

i left this game in the third when it was 28-7 this team is just bigger, stronger and faster then HHS.
