4-5 days a week lifting conditioning and about an hour on the field running some fundamental drills

I am not sure if he is playing but I do know he is going up a little early. I think it is more of a "we'd rather you not play" kind of thing so he doesn't risk injury if he isn't playing. I have not confirmed yet if he is playing or not yet, though. Update!!!!!! Just confirmed Hendrix is not playing because he doesn't want to risk injury. He goes up to Indiana State in early July. I know a few for Cooper that are playing but not a final list. Centers(LB/OG), Lonaker (QB), and I think maybe Roksvag (OL/DL) are playing for Cooper so far

The only problem with that is a lot of schools are getting so ridiculous that they will not allow teachers to leave during the school day, even on their planning. I do think, however, you can hold a meeting after school one day or if you are fortunate enough to have a boss that will let you go around to the other schools and talk to them then that is a definite advantage. The population of kids wanting to play football is rapidly decreasing in itself because of parents and the "risks" of the sport.

I believe that 2nd and 3rd jam was with no outs as well wasn't it? I know I saw him strike out two, how did they get the last out?

First five weeks is murderers row but that's what makes Trinity who they are! I love how they challenge out of state top teams every year plus Male! Should be a lot of fun. What do the Rocks have coming back? Are they bringing back enough to be considered the favorite or is this the year for Male or St. X?

Knowing Ryan, I can tell you he is ecstatic to get this job. He has wanted to enter the head coaching ranks for many years, it is nice to see he is finally getting his chance. I know he has learned from some really good coaches, Jim Hicks and Tim Sullivan, among others. I know he will go in and work his tail off at this job, and get people excited about the program again. Hopefully he gets time to build that program back up. Congrats to Ryan!

Is that a direct statement to me, or this situation? LOL. You hit the nail on the head. And if you are going to treat your employees terribly, you better make sure you have no skeletons in the closet that they can use. The worst part about this is that a man, possibly innocent, but who knows, sits in a cell because of this lady. I feel bad for David Dooley, honestly. I don't know if he is guilty, by all accounts he could be, but I definitely do not think he got a fair shake in court. Which then makes me wonder, who else is sitting in State Prison or Boone County Jail that she put away with these terrible tactics.

Crazy, I played college football with the "whistle blower," had no clue it was him. Interesting stuff, though, if true. If this is true, it is super sad and puts a lot of questions into the cases she tried and if they were conducted fairly. I feel like this could get a lot bigger, and it is kind of sad. The "Chiquita Queen" seems like a sleaze ball.

It amazes me that they only play one round of district games during the baseball season. Most of these teams play 35ish games in a season. I know it may still end up being a tie in the district but playing two times each, like basketball, I think would prevent this from happening. The drawing out of a hat is kind of crazy to think about who will have the 1 seed.

I know that there were waiting to hire an Athletic Director before proceeding with this position. I have no first hand knowledge but have heard interviews will take place in the next week or two. Have a couple friends that applied for the position, but I wonder how many they will interview.

From seeing him first hand numerous times, I know one thing about Adam, very few people will out work him. He is such a hard worker and really works on his game all the time. It was really neat to hear the stories about how him and Sean McNeil would go after each other in spring and summer open gyms. He is such a competitor! His size hurts him, which he knows, but if he could put on about 15 pounds of muscle before college someone is going to get a special ball player. I think playing for 22 Vision will only help him because of the exposure they are getting. They are being live streamed online for a game tomorrow night at 7:00 EST I don't remember the link though I'll try to find it.

A few names I expect to hear a lot from this year for Cooper that you didn't hear a ton of last year. Armour - WR. Started last year as a sophomore and was Cooper's 3rd or 4th leading receiver. He will be the primary guy this year in a young WR core and he should get plenty of touches. Good routes, hard worker, and hands are improving. Witschey - Was a freshman last year, played QB for the freshman team and Safety. Very athletic, talented football player. Poage - Freshman last year. Played RB and safety, and should work his way in the RB rotation as a sophomore. Dalton Taylor - Sophomore last year. Defensive end. Should be a key contributor to Cooper's defense this year.

Now that I can get on board with, which makes me love it! I love incentives in the off season so it isn't always the same repetitive thing every day.

I know some opposing DE and Defensive Coordinators who will not be upset. (Just kidding) you hate to see the injury bug force a kid to give up the sport when he had so much going for him! Good luck to the young man in whatever he pursues

That place is a known "powerhouse" for high school basketball isn't it? You would think they would have produced a few pro's that would give back to the school. I did not read the article so maybe they did and just aren't willing to give anymore, but what a shame.

I expected this answer from you, but I would like to hear from someone that doesn't think that SK can beat the New England Patriots. Lol.

Has anyone heard any updates about this job? When are they interviewing, and who is running their off season program right now?

I realize that this isn't a thread about Highlands, nor do I want to turn another one into a thread about Highlands, but what all are they losing off of their team from last year? I know they lose the QB and a couple skill players, but what else? I think Cov Cath, SK, and Ryle will prove to be the top teams pre-season as they return the most from last year and were all very good last year. The big question for Ryle will be, who is their gun slinger next year. For SK it will be who do they have to run and catch the ball, and how do they replace some of their better defensive players that are gone. CovCath seems to be set up very nicely for next year! I may have CovCath as pre-season #1 just because of the unknown at QB for Ryle. Chisolm is an absolute monster and behind most of their line returning, they will be solid on O again.
