The logic was simple, as I spoke to one of the kids and heard from numerous people that both were still a little sore and fatigued. It is a shame that some people out there car more about a kids well being then winning a high school baseball game. It's pretty simple, Blaine Walters threw really well and before a few big errors in the 5th he was pitching a 3 hit shutout then the wheels fell off

Sounds like sour grapes from an angry parent to me. Some things to think about while you sit behind a computer screen or phone and question someone doing something you obviously don't want to do. How about the fact that both pitchers still had sore arms when they woke up this morning so the coach didn't want to throw them. Also, the coach doesn't play the field, and doesn't make 5 errors that four of them were routine plays. As for the players playing because of the name, nothing I can say about that because I am not there everyday to see what the coaches see. Cooper is young, and talented, and I expect them to be right back here next year with some experience to boot. To question a coach who wins the teams first district championship and makes it to the regional is tacky and classless, at the very least. Grow up and quit living vicariously through your son!

I am guessing that Cooper will throw Reid on Monday and Phillips/Ollier on Tuesday if they win. Again, totally speculation at this point but if I was a guessing man that would be it for me. Reid throws 75 pitches Monday so he could go again Thursday if they are fortunate enough to get there

(33rd District Championship) What an awesome high school baseball game. Right now bottom 10, tied 1-1. Pitching and defense has been strong on both sides

(33rd District Semifinal) Cooper gets their first ever baseball district win and advance to the region! About to play Conner for the district championship! Reid for Cooper threw a no-hitter in this one! Dominant performance. Cooper manufactured 3 hits but 1 was a huge RBI single by Walters in the top of the 7th after a walk and hit batter put runners on 1st and 2nd. A solid outing by the Ryle pitcher as well but I don't know his name

Dante was the recipient of the Fox 19 Athlete of the Year award last week and last night he received male athlete of the year award from Cincinnati Enquirer. Beat out Bolden of Colerain and another young man from Loveland, I think, but do not remember his name. All 3 very deserving of the award based on accomplishments but what an honor for Dante. Congratulations Dante, a very special athlete but an even better young man. Can't wait to watch you in Terre Haute for the Sycamores the next four years! Also, congrats to all of the other winners and nominees, what an honor to just be nominated!

Coaching staff decision last year. Needed to get more athletic at DE and Nick has a good frame on him, strong, and athletic and he really played well at that spot once he settled in

Yes he does, he is going to be a really good one for Cooper! And I do believe his dad is Jeremiah Sr. For anyone familiar with the Cooper program he reminds me of the QB who led Cooper to a state runner up, Tyler Morris. Excited to see what the young man can do!

Varsity is obviously a stretch for this young man but JV is a definite possibility and that is Jeremiah Lee (Incoming Freshman) at Cooper next year. Led the Union Jags to a Super Bowl last year and has a lot of athletic ability

You mentioned Schlarman for Cooper but another name to keep an eye out for is Nick Myers from Cooper. He will be a 3 year starter his senior year and made the transition from OLB to DE mid way through the year last year and in 3 games I believe he had 4 sacks

I do know that they picked up Cooper in their non district schedule at the end of the year which should be a very good matchup for both teams!

I don't think it is geographically centered, but that is just my opinion. Also, even if UK makes the SEC Championship Game it is played in a big indoor stadium at a neutral location like Atlanta or Jacksonville or something like that so the facility would not be needed

Very nice of you! From all that I am hearing they expect Dante to come in and compete day 1 for some playing time but also that they will not hesitate to Red shirt him if they feel he needs an extra year! Either way, I expect to be hearing that name quite often in the Sycamore media guide

Summer baseball and summer basketball is excused for June. I don't think it is any different going 4 days a week for 2 hours than 3 days a week for 2.5-3 hours.
