Yes, PT is smaller. Murray loves to control the clock, and pound you to death. However, you are also correct to go with the skill players for PT to give them an edge. The big thing that sticks out to me is the common opponents. Both played Mayfield and Graves. While Mayfield got by them both, Graves didn't fare as well against PT( PT won 49-29, Murray lost 39-14). PT is a lot more explosive. If both teams take care of the ball, PT should pull this one out.

This one comes in a close second to the Mayfield@Caldwell game. Should be a good one. Both teams looking to make a run in playoffs. Have to give the edge to PT in this one. PT - 35 Murray -29

Pushing the games back one week is the most correct answer. Skip the weekend after Thanksgiving, and let everyone have a holiday off. Come back the next weekend with the semis and follow it up with the title games the next weekend.

Only for semifinals, if it is Caldwell. I think that is right.

As you can see, this is how I see the regions of Kentucky. I have conceded that Owensboro should be included in Western KY. It makes divisions much more uniform. I am not about to argue just where each line should be (one county this way or that way), BUT this is VERY close. There are some counties you could flip one way or another along regional lines, but that is it.

Evidently, you have not read this ENTIRE post. Please go to POST #5 by ATLCat (whose opinion I respect) and you will see that Kentucky has been split into 5 regions for the sake of THIS conversation. While we (ATLCat and myself) differ on exactly what each region is made up of, we are talking 5 different regions.

Let's recap. You NOW agree that Lexington is farther NORTH than approximately 75% of the rest of the state (geographically speaking ONLY).

Here you go one more time. This is a geographical map of KENTUCKY (The WHOLE state) and it is shaded in GREEN. Lexington is located approximately halfway between 84*W and 85*W and just NORTH of 38*N. EVERYTHING SOUTH of 38*N is SOUTH of Lexington. It may be due south, southeast, or southwest(the part you keep missing) but nevertheless IT IS SOUTH. As you look at the map you will see that approximately 75% of the state is SOUTH of Lexington. Walton would probably have less than 5% of the state NORTH and 95% SOUTH. Keep em coming. It just keeps getting better.

Oh, the sly GreyFox is at it again. I will agree that by YOUR calculations, Lexington is not farther north than 75% of the state. IF you agree that your calculations do not consider anything west of E'town. Which would make up 1/3 or more of the state, is all SOUTH of Lexington, and therefore makes Lexington farther NORTH than approximately 75% of the state.

I have always thought the intent of tournament play was to find the best team on a given night. Fake is telling everyone they have a chance in the first place, and then putting divisions in the equation that are unbalanced to say the least.

I know that was rumored Purple. Logistically and financially it is probably far fetched to think you could seed 6 classes all the way out. That would be a nightmare. Seeding region champs would not be near the headache or financial burden. Logistics wouldn't be that great a deal if centralized locations were used. That is the only way I could see seeding ever being a possibility.

Isn't the ultimate goal to, at least in theory, have the best two teams playing for the championship? If so, how else can it be done without seeding?

The only thing you are missing is that Lexington is definitely not in the center of the state east to west and is slightly in the northern half. Etown is really close to the center east to west.

Geography is the only thing that makes sense, what most people go by is old territorial areas.
