I think it would be easier to find teams that DON'T have some players taking ice bats after practice. Personally, I tried it once during my playing days and decided I'd rather be sore the next day. :lol:

As a Lexington native I selfishly want them to be at Commonwealth

Devon Key class of 2016 DB from Bryan Station is up to 5 offers. Miami (OH) Central Michigan Toledo Ball State Austin Peay

On offense they return one of the best running backs in the state in senior Jaylen Jones who is getting a lot of D1 attention. The Knights will also have one of the best groups of WR in the state with SRs JJ Ogbogu, Donovan Morris, and twins Andy and Chris Thompson. The Oline returns 3 starters ( Carpenter, Langford, and Tubridy) and 2 guys who played a lot last year. Only offensive question mark is who will replace WKU signee Reese Ryan at QB. Through out the spring sophomore Greg Couch got the 1st team reps and improved considerably from the first practice to the last. But other contenders for the starting position did not participate. Andy Thompson plays baseball and Henry Clay transfer Legend Brumbaugh (son of UK dline coach) was not eligible yet. Everything I've heard says Brumbaugh will be eligible but as I have never seen him play I don't know what kind of impact he will have. I will return with my thoughts on the defense when I gather them as that is a more complicated break down in my opinion.

A lot of talent on their team this year. 4 guys with D-1 offers already. Can they turn their talent into contention? The history of 6A football in this state says no.

Offer #6 for the young man. This one from Florida State University. He has to be the #1 ranked guy in KY for 2017 based on the amount and quality of offers he has received so far. Will probably rank very highly nationally as well.

Added an offer from Louisville today. Kid is blowing up.

How much does he like UK? Being an Eastern Kentucky kid I would imagine there's a good chance he commits. Even if he doesn't go to UK a big congrats from me. Keep up the hard work.

Idk he was by far the best athlete and player in Boyle's secondary from the games I saw last year.

Picking Catholic by 5 in a good game. LexCath has been here before with these seniors, I think they make enough plays to advance to Rupp.

I believe they are playing Highlands and CovCath this season. Aren't they playing Elder (OH) this year? I remember a thread about it around a year ago.

It did hurt the offense early in the year. By the end of the season they were a great offensive group but it took time. But to say this is our best skill group is something I don't agree with. The 05 team could have put a D1 guy at every wideout position, a D1 QB, and the running back was our 2nd all-time leading rusher.
