That didn't happen at the game I was at. If it had it would without a doubt have been brought up in this thread much earlier than now.

FAKE NEWS There were no red cards. I don't recall any yellows either. I also don't recall anything that looked like a ref getting on a player outside the ordinary stuff. Had a player cussed the ref, can't imagine them not pulling the card.

We were joking around on the sideline about him as a running back with that cast on. Had an interception in it!

In the late 80s, the shoot out was a 1:1 with the keeper. Attacker with ball around 35 yds maybe, not sure. Keeper on the line. Whistle start. Attacker had some # of seconds to get a shot off. Each team sent 5. Then 1 each in sudden death like pks today. Don't know when it changed, but definitely sometime after fall '88.

Some guy? Guessing you don't follow me. Now I'm wondering if going "live" is public or friends only... Not that I care. The last two nights were the first time I had done that. Hard to keep a phone and camera on the action. Very busy. I both love and hate this time of the fall sports season!

The announcer said "Illegal Participation" and now looking up the signal on the internet, that's what the ref signaled. Several of us on the sideline weren't sure what that meant other than too many on the field.

#9 was out 2nd half injured. Don't know what. Had ice wrapped around upper leg/hip.

I agree... The Birds student section was bashed for days after rushing the field after the CC win.

I thought there would be commentary about the student section climbing the fence to rush the field
