  1. No risk of that in this movie.
  2. Even the air combat scenes were boring. The opening scene(s) of Saving Private Ryan left me exhausted. Dunkirk just made me want to go to sleep
  3. The 1st scene started out on the right foot, sort of like an opening chase scene of a James Bond movie. But not as good. After that initial 30 seconds, it crawled to a near stop.
  4. Dunkirk - NOT GOOD! Total disappointment. Slow. Boring. No emotions stirred. They need to stop comparing it to Saving Private Ryan. Unless it's to say it was Awesome and Dunkirk sucks. It was only slightly better than The Thin Red Line. I say that because we stayed until the end. Left halfway through thin red line. Pearl Harbor with Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnet, Kate something was more intense than this.
  5. Don't know anything about him, but he is on the roster I saw.
  6. I only have internet. Have heard more complaints about their TV service than praise. I'm guessing it's like the internet speeds - depends on where you are. Haven't had a home phone in 11 years. When we had cable service (twc) it was always no contract. Can't remember if it was prorated for that month when we left.
  7. ESPN sports science video about the differences explains it pretty well. One thing they didn't talk about is the size of the ball. From an aerodynamics standpoint, which would be worse, a knuckle ball off the bat with a softball or baseball? I would think the larger surface area with more stitches would be more erratic. Similar question with spin. I would expect that the larger surface area would create greater variances in air resistance on the sides, causing more dramatic curve. But then again, with the shorter distance, there may not be enough time for this to cause much. I think the rule should apply to base coaches as well. @RCC9 and @Lawnboy13 aren't spring chickens any more. Plus we already know @RCC9 needs to wear a helmet when hitting infield!
  8. ESPN sports science did a video about the differences between baseball and softball. But I think it illustrates fairly well how fast the game is, or can be. 9. I'm good with it as long as I don't wear one. Can we require @Lawnboy13 to wear a Spider-Man or Deadpool mask?
  10. Would the mask stop the bad bounce to the throat? Or do they need the throat guard hanging on the front of the mask too? Maybe a Kevlar and ceramic plated Dickie?
  11. Fioptics, even if the last couple hundred feet are copper, should be better that insight/twc/spectrum or whatever they go by tomorrow. It will be, or SHOULD be, more consistent in speed. Not having the drastic fluctuations based on the activity in your neighborhood. i.e. school letting out and all the neighborhood kids getting home and jumping on their online games, Netflix, or whatever won't have the same impact as if you are on cable. Fiber to the house will definitely get you higher speed potential, but copper from the pole is still better than cable...
  12. Upgraded to Fioptics gigabit service a few months ago. It's pretty sweet!
  13. No idea. Isn't CovCath named something field and something stadium?
  14. A parent told me that Highlands is in a 7v7 this week but wasn't sure of the date. They did say that they thought it was Ryle.
  15. First thought is WHO CARES! Second is GOOD! We don't need any of the looney toons they have running their state coming here and trying to mess with ours. We have enough problems!
  16. Maybe they were afraid if pitino knew, he'd want to join the parties and that'd take the action away from the recruits
  17. I was just about to comment that it is a bit warm here at Dixie... But it just started drizzling. @paNDA must have just arrived
  18. They should use Velcro. It'll be easier to shift around when they add more banners.
  19. That is what came to mind as well... ...The NCAA estimated the impermissible extra benefit was worth $5,000 including housing, meals and brief use of a vehicle. The NCAA said it found that the violations were "major,"... So how much time would it take the NCAA to calculate worth of the impermissible extra benefits at UL? Is it based on how much the hookers and strippers were paid? Or the then going rate for a lap dance, BJ, and more? No rational human being can possibly believe that staying with a family friend after surgery is even remotely comparable let alone worse than the illegal activities at UL. If UL doesn't lose the title, TMC should get on the phone to the NCAA... Maybe a Title 9 lawsuit for the glaring disparity in treatment of mens vs womens programs.
  20. A very liable source ( @Lawnboy13 ) just messaged me to say that todays games are moved to next Wednesday. Same Bat Time Same Bat Channel
  21. Heavy weight high heals sh.... Nevermind. Probably an inappropriate joke...
