What great game played by these boys

We were joking around on the sideline about him as a running back with that cast on.

Had an interception in it!

Just to be clear, this was HHS Freshman vs NCC Froshmore. Great game by both teams. Lots of fans from both sides in attendance. HHS Freshman complete their season 8-1.

Yeah Joe Riley loves to play - with or without break and cast. What a great game. NCC has an impressive large sophomore class - and wonderful families and competitors. Highlands frosh loaded with athletic talent, including a backup QB that comes in 3rd quarter (no snaps all season) and wins game w plays... Solid frosh class of athletes at HHS.

Glad you cleared that up for us.

Who gave them their only lose?

Who gave them their only lose?

There only "loss" was to CovCath, I believe 14-12 maybe. Buten went out with broken wrist/hand or they likely would have won that game. Ended the game inside the 5 yard line if I am correct.

Looks like the 2 freshman classes for HHS and CovCath will battle it our in the future.

Who was the backup qb for the Birds? Noe?

Welcome aboard @Lions Den - Thanks for the info.

Can anyone else confirm this was a Froshmore game so we can title it correctly?

Yes, Noe was the backup.

Buten is going to be a great HS football player. Great class of athletes. Hergott unfortunately was hurt and out 4-5 weeks with a broken tibia.

Congrats to the Baby 'Birds. I am excited about Highlands Football future.

Any game stats?

I'm starting to warm up to the 'birds going blue on blue with the uniforms. There was some superstition reason that we didn't do it in the past for some reason? I don't remember what it was.
