Sad that this sport can't determine a better way of breaking ties.

 

Same thing happened last night in the St. Henry-Highlands Girls game - Cru wins in PKs.

 

Pretty simple solution from my perspective. Simply play the two 5 minute OT periods without the keepers and let the kids determine the winner.

 

Also both 37th District finals games between Brossart and Campbell County were decided by PK Shootouts.

Bernham stopped 4 of 6 PKs. Insane. Great game by the Birds, I thought. They took it to CovCath instead of sitting defensively. Ordonez and Gish created problems up top. I was really impressed with Ford, Harris, Cavacini, and Will H in the back. Hochleutner in particular did a great job slowing down Deimling until cramps got him. The rotation of Schuley, Broering, Ford, and Pernod did a great job of not giving Wulfek room to dictate the game in midfield like the regular season game. Exciting finish

Looked like the Highlands keeper did well in the PK's. Some guy was broadcasting it on FB and I got to see the last few kicks by each team before the sudden death.:thumb:

 

Went back to FB later and that same guy was broadcasting volleyball. Busy dude.
