I was not thinking of this particular circumstance. Clearly, intentionally roughing a kicker is blatant, and uncalled for. How about when you are the victim of multiple cheap shots, and the officiating does not share your perspective?

Ok, I'm going to play the role of unpopular devil's advocate. If you have an opponent that is mercilessly running up a score , and both you and your opponent know you you don't have the skill to stop them, is there any point at which a "cheap shot" becomes appropriate? I say if your opponent is overtly looking to humiliate you, I say yes there is!

And what makes you so sure that DH was not at Moeller when you came up here, or, another program that was and sharing information?

And what will your coaches do when they have 2 defensive linemen in your backfield on every play, WITHOUT BLITZING! Trust me, I was a Dixie skeptic not long ago!

With all due respect, this isn't SK you are playing. I've been following HS football for 20 years in NKy is this is the best OL/DL I have seen. Many are elite wrestlers. If Trinity does handle this Dixie team like most T supporters expect, then we need to build a bunch more High Schools up here so we can get to 5A!

BW already has an out of district RB in their backfield. Going forward, no matter who is principal, where are the out of district kids going to come from if Dixie and Simon continue to win 10+ games a year? All will be well in Tigerland next year when when BW waltzes to another title in a Mayfield-Less 1A.

Dixie is not a team who is carried by a single great player like a Travis Elliott, Miles Simpson, or even Shaun Alexander. The lack of depth of those teams was quickly exposed by super district teams. This Dixie team is much different, and better, than those teams. Their OL/DL may be good on a historic level.

No predictions. just observations and curiosity. Conventional wisdom says you cannot win in 6A with two way players and unbalanced offense. Dixie is on the the threshold of defying both of those conventions. Meade County trampled over their competition, then the Rocks made them look like a jv squad. Will the Rocks deliver another humiliating public program beat down, or will Dixie hold their own or even win? How will the Rocks handle Dixie's stunts and twists? So far, no one has found an effective adjustment. Will T go with a two back set? Will they go with a game plan of short passes? Will they be complacent and assume the game is theirs before they even take the field?

Dixie has proven it can beat conventional defenses with regularity. Going unconventional is bold, but I think the right call.

SK may be there by the end of the year, but right now, they are an unknown commodity because of their youth. Shelby has some very good big kids, and did well in the regional, but their guard play is unproven as is their ability to defend on the perimeter.

What I can't figure out is why not just ignore the dive and play the keeper every time? Make them take 12 plays to score instead of 3. Better chance of making a mistake.

Just this year, UK reneged on a verbal offer to an offensive lineman. They offered based upon tape, but when it was time to send the LOI, he was omitted. Evidently, they were disappointed in his camp performance. Also, Ram can tell you about his experience where the written offer was not consistent with what was contained in the letter. I'm going to start a thread topic in the recruiting forum on this. Whats to gameplan? There is no reason for Dixie to do anything different from what they did the last go round. Its up to the losing team to adjust, not the the winning team.
