Murray really struggling this year. Doesn't get any better next week with Russellville coming to town. Hoptown and Christian County next week. Cross town rivalry looks like it will be a barn burner this year.

I don't have any details, but do know that the Mustangs had several out to injuries. That being said, things were worse for Mclean. Understand they had 23 players suspended from actions at last week's game vs. Crittenden County....

I'd say that has a lot to do with Greenwood being ranked #11. The LIT has no love for the Gators... I personally don't put too much stock into these rankings. I like to see them and debate with others a little, but any rating that can't rank out-of-state games isn't complete. Surely with some homework this could be accomplished with today's technology...

As far as the athletic running QB's go, I would have to rank Jaylen McMurray of Russellville in your top 5. After seeing both he and Rex Henderson in action this past Friday, McMurray would rank above Henderson in this category. But FWIW, Henderson is definitely the better overall QB when it comes to these two.

They do have a weak schedule this year. The Murray game may provide something of a test. I don't see this team really being challenged again until the end of the season against F-S.

Russellville has their weaknesses, but they won't be exposed this week.

The FS-Greenwood game would be my choice due to the short amount of travel. If that wasn't a factor, I would like to see Danville-Corbin.

Don't look now, but Muhlenburg wins again! Yes, I realize they aren't playing the world-beaters, but 3 convincing wins nonetheless. I'm happy for their team and fan base. The chance is there for them to host a playoff game this year, too. This team should be able to beat Henderson and Ohio County. Daviess County will be the swing game. I'm pulling for them!!

Highly entertaining game. Did get sloppy at times but abundance of talent on the field. QB Rex Henderson was a joy to watch. He is a solid athlete and both runs and throws the football well. He has really good arm strength and does a good job of throwing to a spot. Made a couple of 45-50 yard throws that were on a rope and looked like he just flicked his arm. Russellville did a good job of putting pressure on him and he was running for his life half the game. Russellville has a ton of speed (what else is new?) and uses it well. Their two weakest points are their passing offense and pass defense. McMurray basically throws it up for grabs a lot, but he is a quick scrambler that makes things happen. Their lines are solid. I was really impressed with DL Caleb Hardison. He is a beast. If the Panthers run into another team that spreads it out and passes the ball well, they could be in trouble. I see this team coasting until the F-S rivalry game at the end of the season. Didn't know if anyone could provide an update on Rville FB Drew West. Went down with what looked like an ankle injury in the 4th quarter. He is a workhorse between the tackles and extremely reliable. Big loss for the Panthers if he is out for a long period.

I don't think the Tigers should worry too much. 3 quality opponents to start off the season. They will right the ship and look better the next couple of weeks.
