I'm gonna say Holmes wins this one! I agree with @Baseball Nut 24 After being so close to a regional title last year, I think they're using that as motivation. Their coach said last game "we played well tonight, but we could play better" something around those lines. They have their ultimate goal and that's to win their first title in 14 years.

Holmes traveled to Conner on Jan 21st coming out with a 17 point victory 62-45. Do the Lady Cougars (22-11) have what it takes to upset the Lady Bulldogs (26-4) giving them their only loss from a NKY and send the home or does Holmes keep rolling and have a berth to the championship game for the second straight year obtaining a shot to win the 9th for the first time since 2002:eek:? Who wins this game? Why?

Yes it does give them an advantage. But you can not forget about Campbell County and Scott in the 10th Region and Simon Kenton and I guess you can say Walton in the 8th. NKY can be well represented. But wont last long with the 8th, 9th, and 10th all playing on the same side of the bracket and the 8th and 10th match up in the first round.

NKU Women's BB Team plays Saturday night at 7, it's their last home game.

& the semifinals are set for Saturday!!!! Highlands v Ryle @ 12 Conner v Holmes @ 1:30 Highlands took on Ryle on Feb 1st. Ryle won that game by 11. 51-40 on their home court! This game is going to be a good one! Does Highlands have what it takes to take down The Lady Radiers or does Ryle keep rolling? The Lady Bulldogs are the 35th District Champs for the first time since 2002 (the year they last won the region as well)! Holmes dominated almost the whole game. Holmes was up 19 at one point, but HC cut it to 5 but couldn't get over the hump! Holmes played great team ball, moved the ball well against the zone! Best I've seen them all year! Congrats to the Lady Bulldogs! Good luck to both teams in Regionals

I'm gonna take the Lady Bulldogs in this one! Home court advantage isn't really a factor here with the schools being so close. The last time they matched up that gym was split about 50/50! HC may want revenge from the last meeting, but Holmes kinda has a revenge factor too. Knowing HC beat them 3 times last year (only three losses), costing them a district title, a regional title, and a berth at the state tournament! Holmes wins in a close one (1-3pts), this will not be a blow out! HC is better than what their record shows! These two teams are RIVALS for a reason!

Rematch of Last Year's Finals!!! These two rivals meet again after an intense showdown about two weeks ago where Holmes defeated the Indians by 7 in DOUBLE OT! This should be a very exciting game! Who wins this rematch and why??

BIG match up tomorrow night between two really good teams, but only one can move on to the finals Friday night to face Holmes! Can NDA take down the reigning State Champs? Or will we see a rematch from last years finals?? What do you think?

I'm gonna weigh my opinion in now that the regular season has come to a end. I say we have a Holmes v Holy Cross Final but in all reality I think the HC v NDA game can go either way. That game is the biggest of the tournament in my eyes. Two good teams and only one can move on! Holmes wins this district. They're so quick, their athleticism is crazy. I can honestly see this team making a run at the state tournament, but getting out of the 9th could be a challenge depending on the blind draw. Good luck to all 4 teams this upcoming week!
