  1. That would be correct, beechwood wants home court advantage.
  2. Tuesday Feb 23 - 7:30 4 Holmes v 1 CovCath Thursday Feb 25 - 7:30 3 Holy Cross v 2 Beechwood Championship Saturday Feb 27 7:30 Winner Game 1 v Winner game 2 Tickets are limited as I was told! 300 for each school and about 150 sold at the door! CovCath is ranked #1 in the state as well (If I saw correctly) Who wins these district games and why?
  3. As a Holmes fan going into this game I knew it wasn't going to be an easy win! These two teams are rivals for a reason, they always bring their best game against each other! Holmes played a great first half and got cold in the second half Holy cross was cold in the first half and started to heat up in the second. Both teams are good teams! No point in arguing about it. Best of luck to HC as they move forward into post season play!
  4. I wouldn't say wide open, Holmes is still probably the team to beat. Tonight they couldn't hit a shot in the second half. Tucker from HC caught fire from behind the arch and got them back in the game. I say this may close the gap, but Holmes and Ryle IMO are the top two teams.
  5. Holmes came out strong, holding HC scoreless until 35 seconds left in the first quarter! Holmes led 15-2 after one! Then Holmes kept pounding and led 30-11 at the half! The second half the Indians came alive!!! Held the Bulldogs to 16 points in both quarters and was tied 46 all at the end of regulation. After the first OT it was all tied up at 48. Second OT, Holmes hit their free throws when they needed it! Well played by HC! Should be a good game in the district tourney as they take on NDA. Holmes plays Beechwood/Latin
  6. I think NKU will be a great host! Parking shouldn't be a huge issue with students being on spring break. The regional games (9th) can be a hassle at times, but you can expect that at any arena for any big game. Games that draw a crowd you should expect that. Arrive early! But, now that the brackets are out Wednesday night should bring in a good crowd with possibly 3 Northern Kentucky teams playing, we know one for sure (the ninth region).
  7. I think the Lady Bulldogs take this one, but you never know when these two teams play it's always a hard fought game! I guess that's why it's a rivalry.
  8. Down 8 at the half.. Highlands was hitting from all cylinders tonight in the first half, I believe they were like 8/9 from three in the first half. Plus they're an unbelievable free throw shooting team. But Holmes battled back! Great game.
  9. Great game to watch!!! Both teams played really well. What surprised me was with about a minute or less to go, MC came out of their zone defense and played man to man. Which allowed Tyrah Englmon to drive to the basket and get an and one which she converted to put Holmes up 54-51. Holmes missed two front ends of the one and one to put them up 4-5 which allowed MC to get a shot off at the buzzer to tie but came up short! Great win for the Lady Bulldogs!!! MC is a good team!!
  10. One of the top teams from the 9th battles with one of the top teams in the 10th. Who wins this one? Why?
  11. Kallmeyer is still out, unfortunately. Scott is going to miss her in this game! But she should be back soon i heard.
  12. I heard a week or so ago & didn't really believe it but someone else told me today too and I was just in awe like I couldn't really believe it.
  13. I just heard she is most likely going to be out for the rest of the season.. Busted her knee cap I believe! I'm surprised I haven't seen this on here yet.. Wishing Amori a quick recovery, hate seeing kids get hurt! Especially since it's her senior season.
  14. I heard she hurt her ankle last week, she seemed to be fine last night. Probably saving her for their upcoming tournament.
  15. #12 & #20 were hitting from the outside! Between the two of them they had at least 6 or 7. Better shooting game from Holmes! I would love to see them work on their half court, they move the ball well against the zone. Dixie played well, never gave up! Just Holmes pressure got to them
  16. This game to me was hard to watch, so sloppy! Ryle slowed the Bulldogs down early and it was working for them. Went up I believe 8 or 9 points! But a win is a win! Good job Lady Bulldogs!
