It was 2-1 at the half! It was a well played game, Holmes has plenty of opportunities just couldn't find the back of the net. Beechwood scored twice off corners. Roy Cater did play and made some big save to keep this game close.

Holmes goalie is back and at full health. I believe both teams are at full strength only difference this game is Holmes no longer has Yewitt on their team, if I heard correctly he is studying abroad??

Tuesday night at 8pm Holmes travels to Beechwood for a rematch. Holmes took a 2-1 win in the regular season off a golden goal 15 seconds into ET. With a Beechwood win, it will be their FIRST EVER REGIONALS appearance With a Holmes win, it will be their first regional appearance in about 15 YEARS. Who wins this one? Why?

That's what you would think, but that's now how it is in the 35th district. Covcath always gets the 1 seed!

Covlat and Holy cross never seemed to even be scheduled according to their schedules! Covcath is automatically the 1 seed. But I think it will be interesting to see how things turn out! If they go to KHSAA rules it'll be a coin flip between the three teams to determine the seeding! I would love to see a rematch of Holmes/Beechwood

With Carter not in the goal, that makes a HUGE difference! They have a back up keeper but he has no experience besides his JV games this season I believe!

I see what you're saying.. I don't think this score surprises me as much since Holmes beat Dixie last season 3-1 as well. I apologize for taking it as a shot directed towards Holmes!

Maybe Holmes is just good this year. Which I haven't seen a Holmes team more well equipped then this one.
