Holmes 54 Mason County 51

Featured Replies

Very interesting result. I thought Mason would handle Holmes with all of those ball handling guards. Nice win for the BullDogs playing short handed!

Looks like another good close one..congrats to Holmes on the W.

Great game to watch!!! Both teams played really well.

What surprised me was with about a minute or less to go, MC came out of their zone defense and played man to man. Which allowed Tyrah Englmon to drive to the basket and get an and one which she converted to put Holmes up 54-51.

Holmes missed two front ends of the one and one to put them up 4-5 which allowed MC to get a shot off at the buzzer to tie but came up short!

Great win for the Lady Bulldogs!!!

MC is a good team!!

Mason played the worst game that I have seen them play in the last two years. O'Mara got two quick fouls to take her out for the half and she just never recovered in the second half. Mason had a season high 21 turnovers with about 15 unforced. Way to many long passes and we just never adjusted for their quickness. Playing that badly, Mason had three chances to tie the game. Two unforced turnovers and another missed one plus gave Mason a last chance, but the shot would not go. On th Clark Saturday at the Fieldhouse.

Mason scoring--Frodge 17, Boone 5, McNutt 14, O'Mara 2, Moran 11, Reed 2.

Holmes--Harris 11, Johnson 13, Englemon 9, Stovall 12, Graham 5, Brown 4.

Very interesting.....

Every team has those nights, and I agree, the best thing to do is get something out of it the best you can, and move on to the next one.

this was an excellent game...Holmes played well without one of their stars. Mason was off a little in this game...would love to see a rematch

For Mason, Frodge, McNutt and Moran played well. Frodge carried Mason in the second qtr when O'Mara wars out. McNutt played well in the third qtr. Girls started out fourth qtr well but coctly turnovers and not enough defense stops were our downfall.

Disappointing loss for the Lady Royals but after having a week off I can see why they came out a little sluggish. Onto the next!
