Ninth region bracket

Featured Replies

Drawing will be at 9 o'clock today .... Will make for some interesting plot lines. Holmes, Ryle and Highlands have looked strong of late, so which two wind up on the same side of the bracket? And since Conner will be opposite Ryle and Holy Cross is opposite Holmes, some winners are going to be facing tough first round matchups. How will playing in the big arena at NKU affect things?

Not sure of the entire bracket, but one side has Highlands v. Holy Cross, and Ryle v. St. Henry. So it looks like Holmes got the best draw, away from Highlands, Ryle and Holy Cross. Highlands got the toughest path of the district winners, and will have to get past Holy Cross, then probably Ryle, to reach the finals. Should make for an exciting week...

2/29 Upper Bracket

630 Highlands v Holy Cross

800 Ryle v St Henry

3/1 Lower Bracket

630 Holmes v Newport

800 Dixie v Conner

Do you have the dates for semi and finals?

IMO: Holmes got the most favorable draw as Highlands and Ryle are in the other bracket. I think Holmes vs the Highlands/Ryle winner in the championship game.

Holmes definitely received the luck of the draw.

Have to win them all, Holmes is the best this season so if there is an easier path they deserve it.

Ryle was going to run into a tough game before the finals regardless of the draw. Holmes, Highlands or Holy Cross. We could have drawn a tough first round game (HC) but we didn't, so it's as good as could be hoped for basically. If there was seeding according to the season play this would be pretty close to what the bracket would look like. Best of luck to all the teams.

Holmes got the luck of the draw for sure!!!!

They earned it

They sure have, just usually the luck never comes Holmes way!

Last two years Holmes has gotten a nice draw. This year I think they finish it off but upsets do happen. Holmes should be well rested for Sunday. Good luck to all teams.

Should Conner get by Dixie they will not allow Holmes to "rest" as they will make Holmes guard them. Holmes shouldn't and probably wouldn't play zone against them because Conner will shoot the "3" and if zoned could get hot and hit a bunch of them. Conner can also handle the press pretty nicely so I don't agree with your "rested" statement at all.
