  1. Essentially a 6-8 point game throughout. Anderson got it to 4 several times but every time they would make a little run WV would hit a big 3 or score off an offensive rebound. They had a good game plan but probably didn't attack the basket quite enough allowing WV to sell out on the 3 later in the game. I think Anderson might have turned some heads tonight.
  2. 6 point game at half, 23-29 WV...not as easy so far as some thought.
  3. I'm going to disagree...if you don't have it, size can definitely be an issue in given games.
  4. Final from Lawrenceburg. Anderson with a lot of 3's in this one.
  5. Umm, I'd say this is an upset and not a "good" loss for Spencer. But, it's early and strange things happen. Maybe FC is a little better than expected?
  6. Anderson is deep with size. I think they make it into the top 10 when all is said and done.
  7. I like the movie less actually now since reading that 5 major scenes in the movie are far more then embellished...they were completely made up.
  8. Sliced it. Chuck roast can be subbed for brisket...it's easier to find an usually cheaper. Cook it just like you would a brisket. You can cook it to a lower temp and it can be very tasty but a tad tough.
  9. Smoked my first whole turkey and also a small turkey breast. Breast turned out excellent. The whole turkey looked good, but it also appeared it could be dry (I normally inject a turkey but couldn't find my injector, and I don't brine). I didn't taste it, gave it to one of my ex girlfriends daughters since they didn't cook one. Waiting to hear back to see how it was. Also smoked a chuck roast which was delicious.
  10. Me too. I make it myself from my mom's recipe. Have made 3 pans of it this past week, one for work and two for different thanksgiving dinners. I have had people we who tell me they don't like sweet potatoes devour it like it was their job. There's usually nothing left in the pan when I make it. It's top notch.
  11. I saw it last weekend and thought it was pretty decent. The pacing/editing felt a little choppy to me, but it kept me interested and entertained enough.
  12. Thank you, and thanks to my fellow veterans.
  13. uhh, just realized I was backwards in my P setting statement above...lower temp and LOWER P setting gives you more smoke. So a 0 P setting means more smoke, a 7 setting is the least amount of smoke.
  14. You have to learn the P settings and how they relate to the lower temp settings. I can put it on "smoke" mode, up the P setting and you'd think my house was on fire. Higher heat settings result in less smoke. So, a low temperature with a high P setting early in the cook gives you a lot of smoke and smoke flavor, then turn up the heat after the first couple of hours to cook. Even then you get smoke, but not as much. You have to play around a little and find that sweet spot, but it's there.
  15. Bought me a Big Horn pellet grill from Rural King a couple of weeks ago. $339.00 during the summer, had been marked down twice, finally to $249, so I pulled the trigger and got it. I had been doing research on the pellet grills and had my eye on some waiting for them to go on sale, which smokers/grills usually do in the fall. Already used it a handful of times. I'd have to say its a better smoker than a grill, but I bought it to use as a smoker anyway so no big deal. Have done some really good ribs and chops on it, going to do a brisket this weekend, might do a pork butt for some pulled pork as well. Pellet grills for smoking are the way to go. The grill itself has functioned very well and I don't think I could have gotten a better bargain.
  16. Nope...do a LOT of smoking, but have yet to do any jerky.
  17. I saw it this weekend. I was a little underwhelmed, especially in relation to the reviews it's getting. My gf liked it a little better than I did, but wasn't thrilled by it by any stretch.
  18. Bruce Springsteen is...just...AWFUL! There are others, but he is the first in line for me.
  19. Found it! Homegrown. Very tasty, I recommend it if you get the chance.
  20. And get the bloody Mary at the Grove Park Inn. Yummy, and they are known for them. There is also a neat farm to table restaurant that's really good and popular, located in a refurbished old house, but I can't remember the name of it.
  21. Lots mentioned already...Grove Park Inn Resort needs to be on the list. If you are a golfer they have a nice Donald Ross course there too.
  22. Go ahead and give Hyatt the trophy then, because they will do that for sure.
