Who won Junior game today with CC Youth and Walton?

Dang gone it now that you changed the thread title my post looks stupid.

Bellevue played Dayton tonight........

Junior division with the smaller organizations is going to be a close playoff fight. Several teams barely winning against the other and knocking each other off during the regular season. Newport seems to be playing the best at this point in that division with others such as Taylor Mill, Walton and Campbell County Youth right on their heels.
-
Remember junior youth has mixed playoffs so you have them playing across divisions. Midget and Junior playoffs will be split by division. Not sure about Midget youth is that mixed or by division?

Yeah and he needs to round up his old third base coach to tag along. :thumb:

I always felt they were a "sleeping giant" for baseball. And now with the facility they have they need to get a really strong baseball guy in and they can continue to grow.

Woody McMillan I still believe is the coach.

9th Region Preseason Rankings
uselessinfo replied to Basement Barbers's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
If they are that bad they should not be in the Top 10 then. Being "last" in the Top 10 means you are better than over 1/2 the teams in the region........:sssh: -

Although he does not get the accolades for regional titles Rob Sanders at Bellevue is one of the top coaches in the 9th region and year in and year out maximizes his talent. He is able to be competitive with larger programs despite being at such a small school and not having very many (if any) players playing select baseball.

2016 Ashland Invitational Tournament
uselessinfo replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
The Famous Recipe Tournament was a 16 team boys and 16 team girls tournament run from 1983 - 1999. It normally featured 8 northern ky. teams and 8 top level teams from around the state. It was a huge tournament and really brought higher level teams from the state to Northern KY. Mel Webster ran the tournament and I am sure he or Mustang could provide more historical context to it. -

Yes you could always count on two tournaments really being the top tier - AIT and Famous Recipe............ -
OK so where is he going to school? Can he try and walk on even if it is a smaller school? I agree that first contact is summer ball and sometimes it just happens to be throwing well on the one day somebody sees you. With the amount of NAIA schools in KY I got to believe even at this point one of them would bring him in for a workout if he wants to be seen.

9th Region Jr/Sr All-Star Games

Definitely what this game is all about. One last time (or for some first and only time) seeing a player play. -
9th Region Jr/Sr All-Star Games

Yes the velocity and power was definitely on the West side. Score was 3-0 going into bottom of sixth then the West picked up 4 runs. Very quick game. Several quick innings for both sides. -
9th Region Jr/Sr All-Star Games

7 Pitchers pitched for each team. One inning each. I know Bankemper, Seiter, Franzen, Schwartz ( I think was his name from CovCath), a pitcher from Holmes and one from Holy Cross. Well actually the East threw six pitchers since the West did not bat in the bottom of the seventh. -

That makes zero sense. Newport is larger than Dayton and Bellevue. Yes they have lost enrollment but are still much larger than those two districts. No really sure where your info is from but again that has zero credibility. Newport just reconfigured the district and built additions to the high school to house 7/8 graders. As far as the low football numbers I have no insight into that at all.

Struck out six in 5 innings. Has really good stuff. Huge upside for this sophomore. -
Question for Covington Catholic fans
uselessinfo replied to theguru's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
And I want to reiterate the NCC players have really shown restraint and class from everything I have seen reposted on facebook. I think Coach Dawn has surely had a hand in that. Very impressed with their handling of the situation. -
Question for Covington Catholic fans
uselessinfo replied to theguru's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Well.....the NCC response from players has been fine.....the response from one parent has been the only negative post from NCC that I have seen. Lets just say one parent is definitely throwing down the gauntlet and is explaining why he/she flipped off the crazies at the regional and is letting everyone know that where they come from this is a reason to get nasty. -
Trinity/Newport Central Catholic updates

Has Trinity stopped driving the ball all together?
