  1. Madisonville - Marquise Parker - Campbellsville University
  2. The Maroons succumbed to injuries and frustration to end a decent 2017 season. With a strong offseason of weights, plyos, possible schematic changes, and the character building that has continually been addressed I believe Madisonville will have a more successful season in 18. Emotions or not sometimes opinions are based on past experiences or beliefs instead of facts. Region 1 should be tough all the way around again!
  3. Madisonville returns a lot as well as most of District 1 and FS in District 2, there seems to be a lot of emotion from Macdon in the last two posts regarding the Maroons from a game where both teams came away not looking like choir boys, Big Congratulations to FS on the State Championship in 2017 and hopefully if the two are able to cross paths next season the game will be closer and with less emotion from both sides. Good luck to all teams this offseason in preparation for what should be a great 2018 Season!
  4. Not getting into why he moved, situation was something that should have been looked at by the KHSAA, his mother and sister still live in Madisonville and his sister is an integral member of the Lady Maroon Bball Program and should have a chance to play in college also.
  5. Game is January 16th 2PM @ University of the Cumberlands, players are to report for practice on January 13th, website is kytnborderbowl.com
  6. As of this moment no, I've got a lot of things on my plate, can't say that won't change with the phone calls and texts I've received, I will be there to support either way and know it will again be a great game, would be nice to get another shutout
  7. The experience of playing one more game and being on the field with some guys I haven't played with in a while or didn't get a chance to before can't be matched, Crowd was great and the atmosphere at War Memorial was just as remembered, Hope it's the same for the Tilghman game as I know it was a good fundraiser for the athletic department, I would recommend it to anyone who gets the chance with their school.
  8. Would like to know your reasoning when you say Madisonville isn't well coached, over the last few years they have played with and beaten owensboro. Over the last 4 years and I believe a couple before this series has been competitive. 2011 Maroons 49-6 2012 Maroons 13-9, Devils 31-7 2013 Devils 41-13 2014 Devils 29-22
  9. I've got plenty of perspective and understand what Murray has done in 2A, they are a strong program and up to this point won the last 3 meetings, would expect more support instead of doubt from someone who has a site with Madisonville History
  10. Might want to check Khsaa scoreboard before you start bashing and talking about a game that was won by Madisonville 27-15, and should have been 35-6, liked this post better when I called out the geniuses who bashed Madisonville in their earlier post so I'll try again before it gets deleted
  11. Couldn't figure out how to delete/edit on my phone then it reposted, either way just wanted to correct the error, Good teams in 4A this year and should be competitive in the playoffs
  12. The Carter's play for Henderson, but Madisonville has a very tough football team this year led by QB TJ Phaup, RB Ryan Bowman, RB Jaron White, WR/RB Ivonta White, and one of the Best Olines in the area if not the state led by WKU commit Cullen Reynolds. Their Defense has been solid and features solid players across the board. Paducah is a game that I believe team let off of the gas instead of finishing being up 27-0 to start the 4th and allowed a good Tilghman team to gain confidence and get back in the game.

  14. Don't count out the Maroons from Madisonville just yet out of the west, everyone's #2 ranked team narrowly escaped with the W a few weeks ago and they have played a very competitive schedule up to this point, it will be a tough road for anyone in the west but this could be the year they get over the Franklin Simpson & Owensboro hump with a shot at the semi's, don't know a lot about the east and everyone keeps comparing Cal Preps scores which has a rematch looming with the Red Devils in the regional final game at Rash, before everyone says how hard it is to play there it should be known that Madisonville handed out the worst loss in the history of the stadium in 2011
  15. Thats an assessment id agree with, Adjustments were being made during the first quarter when things snowballed out of control, players were frustrated but its the coaches job to get the adjustments made and make sure they are held accountable, since that game and the ones that followed personnel changes have been made and the team seems to be back on track, only time will tell but the they are capable of making a run at a rematch with Owensboro
  16. What was it that you saw between the coaches and players that was lacking? I know that they meet after each series to make adjustments if necessary and the coaches try to encourage them when needed.
  17. Be as unimpressed with Madisonville as you want but the talent level is there to make a run in the playoffs. The schedule has definately showed things within the team that needed to change. A win against Calloway will give them the #2 seed in the playoffs and a home playoff game when the true test of a team starts.
  18. Turnovers in the game are what hurt the Maroons, there was no lopsided victory for the devils, it will be a very good hard fought game with the winner claiming the district championship and home field advantage in the playoffs
