I think Brossart girls have a great future with the talent they have and I do think the coach has done a nice job however I have seen some of the decisions he has made and it leaves me shaking my head. Example playing man at NCC while the 2 big girls score 38 point and pull down 26 rebounds??? (did anyone see the Boone vs NCC game report? Zone by Boone, NCC 2-23 shooting from the outside Boone wins easy) Hello! Playing zone to go up 16 at Holmes then switch to Man in the 4th and the game is 3 points with a minute left and Holmes has the ball??? This is just a couple of examples that have been going on all year. IMO he does not trust his player to make changes in the middle of the game and sometimes it gets away from them. Trust your players and have them ready to adjust and not wait until there is a 14 point run to try something. That is just one persons opinion.

Everyone has figured out that the Mustangs are one dimensional on the offensive end when not fast breaking. Their best offensive is their defense creating turnovers and getting fast buckets. They have been missing that for a few weeks due to injury and illness but did not adjust without these players. Their half court offense is pass it around the outside until they can through it into Futscher. When all else fails shoot a 3. They need to make adjustments but the coaching staff seems unwilling to do so. I hope they figure it out or it will be a quick exit from the All "A" and a short run in the region which would be a let down for the talent they have. Good Luck Lady Stangs.

Great job by the admin. at Brossart putting together a great group of people to help with this decision. looks like the BGH got this one right and should get credit when it is due. Lets see where this goes and good luck to the new coach. By the way moving back to 1-A will help and where they should be.

Please understand the sarcasm in that statement since a lot of people on here want to beat down any good Brossart does. They always say they are a good team "BUT"... Thats why I used "lowly". I am a supporter of BBHS but know the BGH has Jaded a lot of people on BGP so the eye is always on what is said about BBHS.

How in Manual that high after the beating they took in Christmas Tournament? I know they were missing 1 very good player and maybe 1 other but do those players make a 36 point difference when playing Anderson County or to lose to "lowly" Brossart???:confused:

I agree, the ref's let it go and I have no problem with them doing so to not become part of the game but it was not a "toss" as afi100guy is saying. If I had the game film I would post it . Maybe Mustang could make that happen?

He throw it from the top of the key and caught it there. it has to hit pretty hard to make it that far. it was not a toss, it was an overhand baseball throw!!! not an opinion but a fact.

My question is How did McGovney not get a T for slamming the ball off the Backboard from the top of the key after a dead ball foul called on him???? I have never seen that happen without getting a technical????

If you look at the wins Brossart has they are doing fine. They had a BAD game plan against NCC and did not play well at HHS, beat Manual (top 10 teamin the state and I don't want to hear they were missing players) they lost to the #2 team in the State Anderson County (which was a 3 point game with 15 seconds left and they shoot 4 free throws after fouls and lost by 7). They also beat Ryle, Owen County (to win silver bracket in Frankfort), Scott, Mason County, and arch rival Campbell County by 15 while holding Taylor Robinson (Who is a great player but not 100%) to 7 points. They also have other wins they should have against schools their size that everyone has beat. Please give credit where credit is due and wait and see what happens over the next few weeks. They will not sneak up on anyone now because they are GOOD and most Basketball people know that but the "regular" fan does not know good when they see it. I expect good thinks in the all "A" from them and hope to see a rematch with NCC in the semi-finals if NCC can get by Holy Cross and Brossart gets there as well. Time will tell how good everyone is and in the end the girls will all be better for the journey. Defense and talent will take them far as long as the coaching makes adjustment as needed and the injury bug does not jump up to bite them. I can't wait to watch:popcorn:

This Must explain how they got beat by 36 by Anderson county as well as Brossart. they took it out on Williamsburg to and beat them by 50 63-13

Only if the coach makes some adjustments to their defensive and get better offensive rotation to get Futscher involved. Need to make the young players beat you from the outside and pack it in.

Thats the same though I had about NCC after Boone gave them a smack down but I know all teams have bad games like NCC did against Boone and Brossart had against NCC. By the way BBHS beat Ryle which I thing everyone would agree is a pretty good team so your last comment just does not hold up!!!

Varsity Only but it does cover both if they have both. I think they have been charging that now for 3 years when everyone else charges 5. I know its only a buck but it should be consistent among all schools. I was saying this just to get a little dig for fun not trying to take over this thread.walk:

That's ok, they made enough money charging 6 bucks to get into a soccer game to make up the difference.

Ryle's opponents thus far record is 8-17 with 6 of those wins being Brossart at 6-1 with 1 of those wins being beating Ryle and their only lose to Highlands. If the 8-17 opponent record is correct then that leaves the rest of the opponents with only 2 wins??? Not very strong IMO

SG should not even be playing a varsity schedule. They started two 7th graders two 8th graders and a 9th grader. Not fair to these young girls to put them in that kind of game. On a positive note for SG their gym looked very nice. New floor, bleacher seats and a fresh coat of paint and wax.

Sk Team looked very good with some very nice players. Even If BBHS brought all their Freshmen it would have been a very good game. With the girls that are playing freshmen including (4) 8th graders for BBHS they were out matched. The girls they did have played very hard and will do well against teams of simular size.

Sweeperboy-I agree with you 100%. I thought Brossart as good as they were this year had a good chance to beat them in both games they played. Lost 2-0 both games. NDA is very solid at goal, fullback, fast at Midfield and win 50-50 balls over and over, and there girls up front know who to score. I don't see them losing to E-town. Brossart outplayed E-Town the whole game they played them but ended up losing 2-1 on late game goal. NDA is much more talented than E-town from what I saw. Give NDA all the credit for reloading year after year but they do have a ton of talent to pick from and as John Wooden said you have to have good horses to run and win the race. Good luck to NDA and hope they keep the Champions trophy in NKY where it belongs.

Something else interesting is if both were nominated don't they usually take the player from the winning team??? just a question.

Lauren is a very good player and it is fun to watch her work on the field with or without the ball to make it into every play. She had 3 good games against Brossart when they played them especially in the Regional final. Lauren, Taylor Robinson along with the Keeper carried Campbell to the level where they could have won the regional title if it weren't for the soccer God's looking down on BBHS in the shootout. congrats to a good player and a great year for CCHS soccer.

Brad Gough of Brossart High School Should be NKY coach of the year IMO. The year that Brossart had as a team and the style of play he has them playing is what good coaches do. They only gave up 14 goals for the year and 9 in the last 18 games. I have not seen a team this year except NDA last night pass and control the ball like BBHS has this year. I have seen girls that were good players turn into all Region players with his coaching and training. He is also doing this at one of the smallest high schools in the region so winning a regional title is even more special. I would like to hear others argument for others (NCC, Campbell who both had good years?) Thanks

ND played a very good game and did not give BBHS many chances to score. I thought the play was very good on both sides. The kids from BBHS left everything on the field but just ran into a better team. Regional champs is a good start for BBHS to taking that next step to getting the respect they deserve in the state for how well they played this year. Hopefully they set the table for teams to come with a lot of talent in the program and a coach that has them play the best soccer I have seen a BBHS in 10 years. congrats to both teams for a great year and good luck to the Pandas down state. I know it is incorrect because I know the girls on this team. They do not play like that. After watching the game last night and after they were down 2 the play was still very good, no "Chippy" play as YOU thought. Know the players and team before you label them as dirty players when they are losing. This team has more class than that and it is just not fair. Congrats to NDA for playing a great game. They were the better team and deserved to win. They are fun to watch even when they are beating you. I hope they keep the title in NKY.

That's an incorrect statement "If BBHS gets down 2-0 or more, things could get a little "chippy" coming from someone who does not know this team.To say things will get "chippy" implies that they will play dirty because they are losing and that is just not true. This team plays great defense and people do not like it. BBHS has gotten 3 yellow cards and no red cards in 24 games so someone does no know their facts. Before you label a player or team make sure you know what you are talking about. It is the ref's job to clean up "chippy" play and it has not happen in a BBHS game yet so the person in change of stopping that kind of play does not see that either. That also goes for JUSTTHEDRIVER comments of "bash and crash" which is just not accurate IMO after seeing every game they played.
