Conner 67 Campbell County 38

Featured Replies

A very impressive win by the Lady Cougars tonight in Hebron. The Cougars were led tonight by a very strong performance from freshman Hunter Hendricks and junior Brook Maines. The Lady Cougars broke the game open in the 3rd qtr and rolled to their 6th victory against no loses. Oh yea by the way Jordan Scott once again had a double double. Congratulations to Coach Stamm and the Lady Cougars on an outstanding win over a very good Campbell Cty team. Go Cougars!

Had the opportunity to take this game in and it appeared Conner puts a lot of pressure on both ends of the floor. Hendricks was very impressive for a freshman and Scott is a great player who seems to make players around her better. Pluto seemed to be a very good floor leader and did a lot of things well. The other guard Maines is very solid and is very athletic. #55 Porter did a very nice job off the bench and gave Conner solid minutes. The big girl Meyers seemed to struggle with foul trouble but if she can stay on the floor she will be a force in the interior. This team IMO can be very good but it appears all the teams in their district are playing well. I think the 33rd will be very competitive and would not be surprised to see anyone of those teams competing for the ninth region title. Good luck to the Lady Cougars.

I know Taylor Robinson was injured in the Walton game. Did she play in this game?

You are correct about Emily Pluto. She has played some of her best basketball this weekend in wins over Beechwood and Campbell Cty. Good job Emily! Coach Stamm is getting very effective minutes from his bench when called upon. As you said Samantha Porter played well last night and Taylor Gambrell (freshman) has played very well relieving Pluto, Maines or Hendricks whenever she is called upon.

I do not think Taylor played because of injury. I am sure she would have made a difference and the game would have been a little more competitive. Campbell to me is big and can be very good. Not sure of overall shooting percentage last night but they missed a lot of shots. They had a girl in the JV game #34 that was very impressive. The JV team shot the ball very well, #3 can shoot the 3's.

I agree about the girl in the JV game #34. Very athletic and quick. I was surprised she didn't play more until the end of the varsity game.

I'm a Conner fan.

I will be glad when their level of competition goes up.

Looking forward to seeing just how good they are.

Is #34 the girl who transfered from NCC? Carolyn Berstch? very fast and hustles.....heard she was hurt in practice with a head or neck injury so she might be slow to start the season but she will definately spark the Camels as she is gets to 100%

I may be wrong, but I think it's freshman Kylie Kramer.

Jordan Scott getting a double double on a nightly basis is really not a shock as she did this the entire AAU season against top notch competition. That's why she got a full ride at KY Wesleyan.

They do play a soft schedule. Hope it does not hurt them when it counts

Did you look at the whole thing just two weeks ago people saying cchs are world beaters maybe Conner is just that good

I would have to disagree with you. Take a look at their overall schedule and their is nothing soft at all about it.

I just looked at their over all schedule. I would agree that's very soft compared to other schools in the area with the same goals as Conner. Their out of region/conference games are not very challenging.

That's fine everyone can keep thinking what they want about Conner but as a Lady Cougar fan I couldn't be happier for the girls they are doing a great job and we will see whose where at the end of the season GO COUGARS!!!
