  1. The power of a coaches pass..............free entertainment year round
  2. She was well protected last year as well and when the Defense lost it's Sweeper for the Notre Dame game in Regionals due to an injury, the Panda's scored multiple goals. I caught that game by chance last year and thought NDA might have 10 by half. Defense is the backbone of a solid team, the unsung heroes, the workhorses. I was very impressed with the size and movement of the HHS goalie for just a Freshman.
  3. She previously received a yellow card for that exact behavior....
  4. They played at NCC's home field and it poured the entire game. St. Henry complained the entire game about the conditions. This will be a good game tonight. St. Henry has the depth to take the game. NCC has the heart to keep pushing. NCC needs a little less kickball and they should win 2-1............NCC goalie like to dive and go to the ground. If Crusaders find the top and corners it will be a different game. 2-0 St. Henry.
  5. opps, just checked roster, it is Hils that played for NCC as an 8th grader at St. Catherine. She was a decent player than and has really grown as a player. Always a pleasure to watch these two teams play against one another.
  6. Not sure what game you were at but the ball stayed at Highlands feet the majority of the game. Patient and played at the style of Notre Dame using the back line and constant movement. Tolle was non impact last night. Zimmerman would lay on the ground after throwing her body at people and at times cost a transition or two. Barth made some outstanding saves for NCC defense. The difference was truly in the goal. The Highlands goalie made two saves in PK's and got a body on another but defected in the goal. NCC goalie, no touches in PK's. Highlands "train wreck" must have got back on track last night. They outplayed, outstepped to the ball and just out hustled the Breds. Steppe is a player to watch, quiet impressive for a freshman. #21 for NCC showed some impressive offensive play but didn't see as much time as it appeared she should have. # 15 was impressive for Highlands, she used to be a Bred as an eighth grader if I remember correctly. Best game out the many I have watched this season. Regionals should be fun to watch.
  7. I wasn't surprised to hear that the yellow card came out. They are really trying to cut down on the "in your face" and other body language that can instigate a physical altercation. I have watched KINGS Soccer and know that move the goalie makes. It is a habit and I am sure it won't happen again, lesson will be taken. I thought this would have been a much different outcome as NCC beat Dixie 4-1 and St. Henry beat Dixie on a PK at the end of regulation. Saturday will be a great game to watch.
  8. The score suprises me with the games Highlands worked through this week compared to NCC. Highlands held strong and almost tied it in the second half despite this being an extremely long and physical week. Districts should be great to watch when both teams come in fresh. I would have to go witb Highlands on rested bodies.
  9. agree with the strange jumps. NCC moved last time and didn't play a game in between. They really haven't played anyone of strength and still jumped more. Highlands has played very well yet they are below NCC, they beat E-town if I am not mistaken yet are ranked below them.
  10. Alexis Mayes would not be an issue. It is an economic move. From over $6000.00 a year to a free public education. That is a qualifying event in the KHSAA rules. She didn't show up at school last year until after school started and then her attendance was sketchy due to transportation and various issues from not living close enough to walk. She came from Holmes to play as part of the Lady Diamonds feeding program and I guess it was just time to go back home and play.
  11. Better call and confirm that........rumor has it that Mondays game for NCC was cancelled due to COLD then...
  12. She didn't stay more than a couple of weeks......wasn't a good fit with the girls in the class. Let's just say the welcome wagon wasn't rolled out for her from the girls who had been attending there. Glad to see she is doing well. She came back to Dayton. I think her mom was a Bluebird back in the day. I believe mom was a St. Therese Mustang growing up and was a good athlete. There is much talent spread throughout the River cities of Newport, Bellevue and Dayton. Joining the schools would help make programs stronger and more consistent.
  13. Is that the same Scott girl who attended Holy Trinity briefly? If things would have worked out she would have been a strong addition to the Lady Breds.
