Daddy's Little Girl 2.0 did a nice job, although swinging on 3-0 is a big :no::no:, but at least she got a hit out of it. Coach Barnes would have been none to pleased had she made an out...as would I.

The Thoroughbreds moved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in 36th District action on Friday.

Freshman Haley Meyers pitched a complete game for NewCath. She allowed just two hits and stranded the tieing runs on base in the seventh inning.

Alex Burkart and Lexi Potts led NewCath at the plate. They had two runs batted in each.

The Thoroughbreds travel to Beechwood on Monday. Game time is 5 p.m.

She didn't stay more than a couple of weeks......wasn't a good fit with the girls in the class. Let's just say the welcome wagon wasn't rolled out for her from the girls who had been attending there. Glad to see she is doing well. She came back to Dayton. I think her mom was a Bluebird back in the day. I believe mom was a St. Therese Mustang growing up and was a good athlete. There is much talent spread throughout the River cities of Newport, Bellevue and Dayton. Joining the schools would help make programs stronger and more consistent.
