Brossart has a 20 win season almost every year. Villa makes it to Regionals just about every year. Are they also "perennial volleyball powers"? Don't knock Brossart for having a 20 win season. They do very well for having 180 girls in their school. By the way they just beat Dixie a few night ago which has maybe 500-600 girls in it (guessing). It gets very old reading how people that favor big program knock the little guy when they have any success. You hear it all the time when a small school has a good record or good year that they didn't play anybody. They play who the should play SMALL SCHOOLS like them. I know that in the past few years it has been great seeing NCC, Brossart, SHDH, Beechwood have good years in many sports and beat "big schools". How does a school with 150-200 girls beat Ryle, ND, Dixie, Campbell, Conner, Cooper in anything. I know you were not intentionaly "picking" on them but these are the comments that I see all the time. Give credit were credit is due and just be amazed every time a 1-A school beats a 5 or 6-A school and just say WOW that pretty amazing. Just 1 persons point of view.

What did not help Boone was having a young team and getting outplayed at both ends of the field. If a bad call in the box lead to a penilty kick then you may have an argument. That however was not the case. The game after was Brossart Freshman girls versus Campbell County Freshman.

Small school or not last year without a senior on their team they beat Highlands, NCC, Scott twice, Campbell County, Mason, Owensboro Catholic, Owensboro Apollo, a good Holy Cross team, just to name a few. If a school with 169 girls in it can beat any of these we should give them a little credit for winning game against schools with 1000 girls to pick from. Don't hate the message because the person reporting it. By the way between jv and varsity at transy they were 12-2. lets see what next season brings before killing a small schools dreams.

One bad inning (1st) giving up 7 runs was the downfall for Brossart on this night. Pitcher got little support in that innning. After that they settled down but could not dig out of a 7-0 hole they created. Good luck to Bracken which has a very nice team. Also congrats to Brossart on an good season with a very young team. seems all NKY regions are up for grabs by anyone.
