Saw Mikey Abner's name flying around social media again last weekend. He had a TD reception and a Converted Extra point reception for the Win in Overtime against Woodland's 8th grade team. It's nice to see some Highlands household names coming back around. Dunn, Cook, Ellison, Abner, Schwalbach, Fennell to name a few. All with strong Bloodlines to the program. The future looks bright in Ft Thomas.

As you should. Both 8th and 7th grade levels are Loaded as well. The 8th class has 56 players right now split between 2 teams. And both 8th grade teams compete nicely. The 7th grade class is not as Big numbers wise but have some incredible Athletes. Tayden Lorenzen to start.

I voted for the Bluebirds but this one worries me a little. Highlands will have to play very good Football to get this Win. The Rockets are a very similar team to Highlands from what I'm hearing. Hope to get to the game this Friday.

Archbishop McNicholas(OH) 34 Highlands(Ky) 18 Highlands tied it at 18 all with roughly 3:00 to go in the game. McNicholas drove the field and scored and went for 2 and converted. Next series McNicholas picked up a Fumble and ran it in for a TD. 2 point good. This game was played at McNicholas who has a Lighting ordinance. Lights were not able to be turned on and it got pretty Dark there towards the end. McNicholas played pretty sound football. Highlands has to clean up their Line play.

This is spot on. I'm hearing and know that Coach Sphire has delegated One coach to each Special Team. There isn't just One Guy for this. Highlands special teams will be a strength for the program once they get things in order. They work on special teams every day in practice. It might not show on the surface just yet but it will be a Game winner someday.

If Highlands can contain Chase Crone and his ability to make huge plays with his arm and mainly his legs, the Birds will Cruise. Highlands likes to throw it around the Yard a little. You will need to cover Highlands from Sideline to Sideline and I'm not sure SK is built for that. After watching that game on Film from Sat, Highlands receivers can get open. Is that a combination of quickness or just the Offense they play in? Mind you that BG's Defense was the strength coming into 2021. They had some studs on D. Simon Kenton DB's will have to be very assignment ready and stay discipline to their responsibilities. Or it will be long night for the Pioneers.
