I agree, I had a chance to watch Ward this fall and he threw the ball really well. NKY area has really good pitchers this year.

Depends on how the coach wants to play it. I've heard of coaches saving their ACE for the district playoff game. I don't think it much matters with this district. There's not much difference between the 1 playing the 4.

I think any of the 4 teams could make it regional. I know no one is giving Boone much of a chance but they may be the sleeper in the district. Anything can happen in one game to make it to the region.

I think either Conner or Ryle will win the district during the regular season just because of pitching. But, making it to the region may be a different story. Each team has pretty good Aces to throw for the first game of the district playoffs.

I'm not sure that much matters!

I guess we will agree to disagree. No, I don't paint the ADS with the same brush because there is a long list of players that have played for Danville that still have roots there and family memebers that play to this day. I don't know much about Britt, but I'm sure if he wasn't there the ADS had someone to replace him.

Danville has 2 schools in the town, Boyle only draws from the county part. Which is mostly outside of Danville. Over a DECADE before Smith got there, they may have one 1 or 2 games a year with no athletes on the team, not very much size. Once he gets there in a matter of a couple of years kids start showing up that arent' the familar. Boyle is surrounded by 4 counties all in 15 mins drive. Size, speed, and athletic ability just doesn't show up because you hire a coach. I have been told names of kids who left their schools to play for Boyle, but it was years ago and I could remember if I tried You can call it recruiting or wanting to play for a winner or however you wanna wrap it. I was a witness to the turnaround. When they were bad to the winning of the state championships.

When the program does it for you? That's funny! Everyone that lives in that area knows how the Boyle tradition was started and it wasn't with the kids that live in the district, that's for sure.

Yeah he coached at Boyle County and convinced kids from surrounding counties to attend school at Boyle County, I think that's called recruiting.
