78-84 is a big range, which means he's throwing around 78- 81 most of the time. My question to you would be, is that from 54 or 60 ft?

Cooper will be pretty good this year. Unfortunately, they are in a district with 3 other really good teams, where any of the 4 can make it out of the district.

Conner is very talented this year. They have good pitching with Maines, Smiley, and a few others. They will be a good hitting ball club.

I watched Ganns for Boone play several times as a soph, I think he's better than decent.

I agree with you on this point. Although they have played in these showcases doesn't necessarily mean they are better players than those who don't get those opportunity's. It does allow those players to gain more exposure. It pretty much comes down to money and how much your family can travel.

I understand what Hellbird was saying in his post. I'm sure he isn't taking anything away from the kids about their upside and future potential. With all the hype and talking about how good the kids are, why don't you go ahead and rank BW #1 was his point with a little sarcasm. Which were my thoughts also. I've watched alot of baseball over the years and you have kids who are early bloomers and others who bloom late. I do think it's a little early to predict an 8th grader will be drafted to the MLB. Another thing, just becasue a kid throws 85 as a freshman doesn't mean his velocity will increase with age. It may or may not, we will have to wait and see.

I will disagree with one part of your statement. The team and coaches work on the field once the football team has tore it pieces. So, don't make it as if, players and coaches don't care what the field looks like. They are out there on off days and after practices putting work in. The problem is, it really doesn't start looking decent until the season is almost over.

What's their to argue? Time will tell how everything shakes out. Optimism is good to have for your team. Hopefully, it will work out for them.
