That's crazy! Why should a JUCCO get more scholarships than a D1 school? I talked to a UC coach and was told the rowing team are funded 20+ scholarships but only carry anywhere from 12 to 16 rowers.

I think it's ironic Danville has yet to get out of the shadow of Tom Duffy.

They have 20 coaches already standing on the sideline. No room to hire more.

They do have quality players.

Anything is possible and can happen with walk ons. If a University valued an athletes talent to get him there , they would offer some sort of scholarship. Even if it's 25 or 50%. I would think other smaller D1 schools would be interested in him. Are those the two schools that he has his heart set on?

Why the change? I heard he's not eligible to play high school ball, has anyone heard anything about this? It would be a shame not to be able to see the kid play this year.

Yep, he won a few more games than the year before. I would have like him to stayed a few more years to get a chance to see what type of coach he really is.

He never sees anything through..Whoever they hire, I hope he puts more effort into making sure these players are prepared for life after high school and not just during football season.

If Perry is interested, it's only right that he gets the job. All the time he's invested in the program over the years. Not sure if Yeast or Duffy would be a good choice.
