MSJ getting a really good guy!

MSJ getting a really good guy!

Good luck Coach and thank you!

I heard about this around Christmas but wasnt sure if it was just talk of those wanting Rick out of Boone Co or something legit. I think its a good move on Ricks part, Boone can get a new coach, Rick can move on the next level in his coaching Career. Honestly, win win for all.

Has he taught long enough to retire?

It sounds like LaSalle's Tom Grippa will also be joining MSJ's staff.

Has he taught long enough to retire?

My guess is he will be like the vast majority of the other Mt. St. Joes staff and continue to teach in HS, but Coach at MSJ instead of Boone.

I believe his son was on the team last year. Sounds like a chance for him to be involved with his son again. An opportunity he probably didn't want to pass on.

What is MSJ?

Mount Saint Joe - a DIII catholic college in cincy. Think cincy version of Thomas Moore (sp.).

They have been miserable in football recently.

Good for coach Thompson, both probably needed a fresh start.

Thanks. After you posted this I read that Grippa will remain as a teacher at LaSalle.

From a teacher at Boone Co he plans at this point to remain teaching at Boone.

Miserable in football recently?? Really?? Over the last ten years they are 72 and 34, including 4 HCAC league championships and 5 trips to the NCAA playoffs. Just last season they had a player from Louisville lead the Nation (All Divisions) in rushing. So could you elaborate on miserable?

Who are the candidates to take over at BC? Is this still seen as a plum job or has the addition of Cooper watered down the talent in Florence?
