  1. That is the same thing I thought last week when I saw the scrimmage line up. That could not have been very productive for either Conner or Carroll.
  2. CGG12...you should be very careful about how confident you are. Basing all this confidence on one common opponent is very thin ice...not much to stand on. If you consider the other common opponents of Gallatin County and Bishop Brossart it doesn't appear to be as lopsided as you are spinning. These outcomes were pretty similar blow outs with both teams beating Gallatin by the same margin (36) and NCC beating Brossart by 13 more. (WV beat them 45-0, NCC beat them 58-0) WV could show up and play a very bad game, just like anyone else. But, I am telling you, they are better than what you are giving them credit for. If they keep the turnovers even, this will be close. They have the athletes to compete and a very strong running game. I predict a very good and competitive game.
  3. Very, very likely it cost Conner the game! In my opinion, giving the opponent 9 short filed possessions is the same damage to overcome as a couple of turnovers. He must of had no faith in the kick off coverage and thought their best chance to win was to on side kick every time. Also, it seems to me that this strategy is one of a major underdog, just trying desperately to do anything to level the playing field with their opponent. Was Conner that much of an underdog? Maybe it was like betting black on the roulette wheel, you just keep doing the same thing, thinking that eventually the odds have to start to be in your favor.
  4. Found this on the Gator Athletic website.
  5. That is Awesome! Congratulations for her achievement. So close to a triple double!
  6. Walton Verona will scrimmage Louisville Butler at Elizabethtown on Saturday Nov 17th. With Butler being pretty much the preseason top team from the 6th, this will be a great first test to see where the Lady Bearcats are and to help them get ready for the season.
  7. Who else will Conner scrimmage before the season starts?
  8. If I didn't know any better, I would think you contradicted yourself. I guess when you say, Obama DID address it, you mean he didn't really fully address it. He did address it, but now its time for a real plan.
  9. Why? Perhaps it is revelead by the President asking people in his final plee to vote for "Revenge". Perhaps the reason why he won is because it resonated and people want revenge. It is going to be interesting to see who the revenge is towards and what it looks like.
  10. ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, ESPN, 538, etc. all have a 110% chance of Obama winning. Democrats, there is no need for you to vote today.
  11. Well, so far it looks like your all by yourself.
  12. If you want to protect your signs, you got to wire them up to your breaker panel.
  13. He was looking for the old pinkie promise!
  14. So anything outside the bedroom is fair game to govern?
  15. Unless something major, and I mean major happens, Romney wins by a landslide. I dont trust the polling, I really don't. Many of you will think I'm crazy, but oh well. The polling has been wrong before and I believe it is very wrong in this election and in this situation. If I am wrong, I will eat crow, but I dont really think I am wrong. Obama's time has run out.
  16. Wow...what an opportunity for the President to be a leader. He is always talking about being Patriotic and helping others get there "fair shot" and opportunity. Here is his chance to put action to his own words. Release the stuff and enormously help some people that need help. If he listens to his own talk or means what he says, this should be a "no brainer" for him.
  17. Jim You don't agree with any of my summary or just the bold reference to natural? I am only asking because to me, my summary captures what you are saying about your cousin. In referring to him, you stated that he was "wired differently", he didn't choose this, and that he had spent years denying who he was. I am assuming from these statements that you would agree or believe that your cousin was simply born this way, which was the gist of my summary. Perhaps my use of the word natural was not the best choice and muddied the water. When I used it, I was was only referring to the fact that, if your born with a specific sexual preference, its only natural that you follow that preference, regardless of what family, society or "Bible-tossers" try to tell you.
  18. Here is what I summarize from some of the gay supportive posts in this thread or any thread on this topic. I think I have it right, someone correct me if I am wrong. Here goes... People who are gay were born that way. Choosing your sexual preference is no different than picking your skin tone. Homosexualality is not a moral issue, it's a natural, "however you turned out" issue. Being anti gay, is more or less being a bigot against those who were naturally born that way. Society and religion needs to get a grip and let people be who they are. Does this capture one of the strongest, if not the strongest argument for gay acceptance? Am I understanding correctly?
  19. Seriously, Joe Biden would have made an incredible actor. The fellow can go from laughing to anger to serious and somber to holding back tears at the drop of a hat. He was emotionally all over the place. As I was watching, I said to my wife, he would be good in movies...he is so dramatic
  20. Did anyone pay attention to this post...specifically the bold sentence? If that is true, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that "cheap touchdown"...I mean nothing. A coach is not ever supposed to worry what someone else thinks and what another coach may think when it comes to something like this. You care about your players and you want to see them achieve. Especially a senior that has put in the work and not played much. Its his last time playing Boone...if he can get in the game in the end and get his first touchdown, who cares what Boone's coaches think, parents think or fans think. This post makes all the complaining and accusing of bad sportsmanship seem silly.
  21. Billie Hearn from Grant County HS - Morehead St Eagles. Is Grant County considered NKY? Close enough to add to the list.
  22. EXAMPLE: It was brought to my attention about two months ago about 3 or 4 underclass high school girls from one high school all decided to quite bball...for the purpose of playing club volleyball. You have to understand that I was very surprised when I heard about these girls not playing bball anymore. Seriously, they were decent to very good bball players and most of them had tons of potential as most of them were only freshmen. When I asked why...why did they all quit, I was told it was for volleyball. They were told (supposedly guaranteed) they would get D1 scholarships if they committed to vball year round. I don't want to be mean...only realistic. I saw these girls play vball. They were good and they had potential, but no way did I see big D1 in their future. I thought to myself, "wow, they are only young once. I hope they really aren't convinced they will get D1 scholarships. Whoever told them that and perhaps influenced them to quit bball better be there later to pay for their college when the D1 scholarship does not come."
  23. Seems that most people think that CC coming off a buy week is a positive. There have been several posts that have cited it gives CC more time to prepare and more time to scheme. I get that, however I question how much of an advantage it really is. For me, a buy week can much easier be a disadvantage. Your routine is thrown off, your over thinking, and it is a struggle to keep your players focused and mentally prepared (goofing off in practice etc). Some may disagree, but its a pretty big deal. Many times high school football teams come out flat after a buy week. They put to much confidence in the "preparation" and slack a little in intensity. Not saying this will happen, just saying that is a very real and common tendency. Basically, I put little to no stock in CC having an extra week as being a positive - could be a negative just as well.
