Question...what are the 5 toughest games on Conners schedule? Here is my pick in the order they play them on the schedule. Gallatin Co, PRP, Highlands, SK, ND - They are 0-2 so far with 3 still to play. If you had to go to the 9 toughest opponents I would add the 2 NCC and the 2 Boone games - They are 2 - 2 so far in this group. I probably made some folks mad bringing this up and pointing this out, but I don't mean to. I am bringing it up because I think it is why some folks are still a little skeptical. Conner will get their chances with Highlands, SK and ND coming up.

Don't know her, but if her team is a reflection of her leadership, I would have to agree. Every time I see Trimble play, their girls will invite the other team, coaches and cheerleaders for prayer at halfcourt. Very classy and, as far as I am concerned, the best way to leave a game.

Great point. It definitely did not fully follow the expected story line. As you stated, injuries played a part. Secondly, Trimble had something to say and I think earned a lot of respect. Probably not many outside their program put them in the finals when first looking at the brackets.

I have to agree with FBD on this one. You did pick Owen to win because Sandlin was out. Even more so, and for the same reason, you stated that Walton was no longer a favorite win it. If you pick their opponent and you state they are not the favorite, how can you now say that they should have won it?

There is no doubt. Anyone in that place would go nuts.

Thanks for weighing in and welcome to BGP! I understand your point. I had thought to myself the only way fouls could get that lopsided is of one team was very aggressive attacking the rim. This sounds like what happened and it is a very acceptable explanation. Its just such an extreme difference in free throws that even this explanation doesnt seem like enough.

Do I have this straight? Holy Cross plays motly zone but still fouls enough to send NCC to the line for 49 free throws. NCC playes mostly man to man with a lot of press and HC only goes to the line for two free throws....2 free throws? I know it wasn't a Friday night, but was there a fish fry going on, because something smells fishy! That is very messed up. Where there is that kind of smoke, there is fire. Can these referees be investigated or the film examined on this or does it just get swept under the rug?

WV still has the weapons and the ability to win this game. I think the biggest factor for them is to believe they can win without Sandlin. If they are couragous enough to do so, I think we will see some good things from the Lady Cats.

Congratulations...belated. I would assume you'll stay in the WV Schools District. In spite of those "complaining parents", it is an excellent choice of schools. My kids love it and are excelling!

I assume you are not a Walton parent, since you would be insulting yourself. It is naive and silly to think that Walton has a monopoly on selfish and temperamental parents. In my experience they are at every school.

To make things more confusing...If you were only ranking NKAC, then you have to leave Walton Verona out of your rankings. Technically, they are not in the NKAC. They are only in the NKHSGBCA, which includes all the teams from the NKAC and one from the NCKC. (Walton Verona) :idunno:
