  1. In other words could you take the all time best players from your school and beat the 2011 Shamrocks? I bet Mayfield, Beechwood, Danville, NCC could and they are small schools.
  2. Plus we were anointed "The best team in the history of class 1A football" in 2010 by my good buddy quickslick.
  3. Trousdale County,Tenn. State champs 2009. Yes, Mayfield did lose Caldwell in 09 in 3 feet of mud but a lose is a lose. Also in 09 wins against 3A state champs PT and BW. In 10, Paducah Tilghman and BW plus the State championship game. We have a few more wins than you, 2 state title teams in 09 plus BW. This thread was not meant to embarrass anyone. BW might win the state title, I'm not Nostradamus. Figures that you VOR would try to turn the tables, I wonder if anyone would try.
  4. Most threads are started to "stir the pot". If we don't, we don't have dialog and conversation starters. Mayfield has had plenty of down years , most recently 07 and 08 and now we are in an up tick mode. I did do research back to BW's 07 and 08 years when they won their last titles and they did beat most of the big boys they played. The 09 and 10 teams were mediocre to BW standards and earlier threads this year were touting this years team as the 1A frontrunner and using the theme since this years seniors had won the NKY frosh title.
  5. Bj, a good BW team in the past won some of those type games. Especially the teams that won state titles.
  6. I thought it was spelled out in the 1st post what a significant win was, a game that you were not supposed to win or a toss up game. From what I have seen is that over the last 2.5 years BW has not performed in their typical fashion and what makes this year different? Unless you're looking through your Tiger glasses.
  7. My point is that this BW group has not beaten anyone of signifigance except the 1pt NCC win last year in 2.5 years. So to the BW faithfull why will this team win the 1A title?
  8. Since the early 60's Murray has only beaten Mayfield 2 or 3 times. I'd say they have played 50 to 60 times in that span.
  9. Not in the last 2.5 years. Only big win was 1 pt victory against NCC. So why will this year be any different from the last 2 seasons?
  10. "Taunting", I think it's a legitimate question, crunch. Feel free to answer in the thread.
  11. won any game that they were not supposed to or even a toss up game in the last 2.5 years? Only game I can think of is the NCC game from last year. I know in 09 they got off to a disasterous start losing their 3 of their 1st 4 games and last year I dont believe it was a great start either with them also losing 3 of their 1st 4 games. I see no signature wins at all except for the 1 pt win against NCC. I see their 1st big test this year didnt go so good and no real test until NCC or deep into the playoffs. So what makes this year different?
  12. We all know it was me. I think crunchy boy is trying to stir a bit. It gives me a new thread topic.
  13. Lafayette NCC Lone Oak Harlan Co Woodford Co Jeffersontown Bryan Station Bell Co Middlesboro Madison Central 58
  14. I dont know anything about Gabe Gray But I do know Jackson is a load. He is bigger and faster than last year. Mayfield"s line is not huge and I dont really know what Beechwood has up front defensively. Mayfield is more of a defensive team at this point in my opinion with the offence a work in progress. Getting the playoffs at War Memorial is our biggest advantage against Beechwood
  15. They will take them serious but most of those games will be non competitive.
  16. Graves played a good hard nosed game. Big crowd but Mayfield nor its fans seem fired up, almost like they took it for granted we would win. Mayfield will now cruise until Thanksgiving.
  17. Dang. Mayfield at this point would be a 14 pt underdog to Beechwood. The LIT guy must have dyslexia.
