I would like to know this if anyone has the answer.

I look for Beechwood to be good at first and get better as the season moves on. The main question is how good will they get and how will Mayfield develope over it's season. As we all know both of these schools only measure their season's success by state titles.

He may or may not be the starting QB next season. Jake Guyh may have something to say about it. The boy will play but he may not the QB.

Mayfield, Danville and Beechwood all have had teams that could compete with any team regardless of class.

Yes, Mayfield dominated last year and kicked butt and took names and all the other cliche's. But I'm not sure they were Mayfield's best 1A team. I like the 95 team, and that has been debated on here before with the Bwood people. It also was boring watching us manhandle team after team. The schedule is the schedule and we played who was in front of us but aside from the Tilghman game most games were over by halftime. I did get a scare up at LHC which jumped out on us I believe 14-0 but we scored 59 straight points in 30 something minutes. It might be awhile before we see an offense like that again.

It's a joke one way or the other. Mayfield's Hunter kingston is 1st team Courier Journal. He's not even hononable mention AP. And I know there has to be more but I'm only looking in my backyard. So, which is it? Which one is the joke?

Mayfield has a very good little league program. Everybody gets to play but they try to keep the ones that are a little ahead of the others out on the field most of the time. They play to win. Mayfield lost 1 game in it's 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th grade teams .

I'm saying Beechwood was 2nd best in 1A behind us.

Not speaking for TP, Crittenden did play us well but I still think Beechwood was the second best 1A team Mayfield played.

Hazard will not be the 1A champs next year. My money says Beechwood or Mayfield.

Mayfield usually has as many or more than the home teams.

Not saying Hazard wasn't #2 just how the other teams played Mayfield and that those teams Could beat Hazard.

From what I saw this year Beechwood, LHC, and Crittenden County could beat Hazard.

Lets see, every time we play a NKY team it's the same thing , a whole gang of NKY people get on here and say "there's no way Mayfield can beat them" . I don't know if Mayfield can beat NCC or if NCC can beat Mayfield. I do know that Mayfield has played NCC 3 times and Beechwood 4 times with a 6-1 record.

Beating Beechwood is big for Mayfield and it's fans. Maybe Beechwood can experience beating us someday.....did I just say that.lol

Hazard was simply outmatched. I believe Ballard Memorial could give them a good game and Crittenden County could beat them. The poll people had them wrong this year. Beechwood was a solid team and they were the 2nd best team and Louisville Holy Cross was 3rd, Crittenden County was 4th. Thats just the ones I saw from 1A. Bethlehem should be in the mix somewhere. A note: Mayfield played it's final 3 games on the road. Up to LHC 1st, then Beechwood and finally BG. That was a hard test for any team to do and the Cards came through it. BG wasn't too bad of a trip for the Cards or it's fans.

Why does this matter? Lets talk about real games. The little kids are the ones with their playstations.

There wasn't as much seperation between the 2 teams last year as this year.

Since a lower class team (1A Beechwood) beat a higher class state champion (2A NCC), I declare them the Hypothetical state champion of NKY in 2A. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Mayfield had more talent than CC in 08 but CC played as a team. As long as we do that we will be ok. CC is one of those teams that gets just about every ounce out of there players. Thats one thing I have always admired about them. Beechwood seems to do that also. Mayfield has not always gotten every ounce out of its players or played as a team. Thankfully, the 2010 team did.

Let us enjoy our 1A championship You enjoy your 2A championship Now if you must play hypothetical games, you can always find one of those old electric football games and you can pretend one is Mayfield and the other is NCC. One warning for you... dont let Beechwood play you. Just hypothetically speaking... of course.
