I enjoyed meeting Sportsguy, nice fellow. Beechwoods QB had a cannon for an arm but they had a few drooped balls or he was inaccurate. Beechwood was hardnosed and well coached. Mayfield had too many atheletes for Beechwood to cover and the Cards line was a little better. Mayfield really never got a ground game going until the 4th quarter when they ground tons of time off the clock. Beechwood was really never outa the game until the kickoff return which was a backbreaker. Mayfield and Beechwood should not play until the finals, it is a much too long drive for the fans. Mayfield and Frankfort made more sense, Beechwood and Hazard or LCA would have been ok. Next year, you Beechwood fans get the favor of the 5 hour drive. See ya next Thanksgiving.

Just got in, 12:45 central. Nice win for the Cards, I thought Beechwood played tough and a few plays here and there, it would have been tougher for the Cards.

With the cold and the wind that's supposed to blow around 15 mph who does that favor? If its a close game and both teams having good kickers, field direction will be a premium. I think the weather could play a big role in this game.

Sitting in Frankfort , will make my Cincy move in the morning. Can't wait for the game, it will be a challenge for both teams. If we control both lines of scrimmage, its over. All remains to be seen and I have had a good time on BGP's talking about this matchup and win or lose it was fun. Hope to meet some BGPer's at the game.

Playing Beechwood you get to be king of BGP's for a week. All this attention and then, its gone.

I like Central in this matchup.

What I see is Beechwood not used to being an underdog. When Beechwood won their last 2 titles I believe the fans here were very very confident, maybe what some of you call arrogant. As a matter fact last year before the game I talked to a few fans, they said no way was Mayfield gonna win, I asked why? They said they had to much speed, I laughed. Is that what some of you call arrogance? Or is that confidence? Make no mistake the fans and the players and the coach's of Mayfield respect Beechwood and know what they have done in the past and we know that this will be a very tough game.

I'm a Danville fan. I hope they go all the way.

Mr Emperor If we had played the "normal" starting time in Mayfield last year it would have been a 8:30 NKY start for you. We accommodated you guys last year with a hour and a half earlier start which is about the best that can be done with people getting off work and such. If this is going to be a regular playoff game, which I think it will be, then some starting times will have to be adjusted. In all honesty, us accommodating you helps you more with the time difference.

I'd love for them to move it up an extra 30 minutes. The game should be played ealier than 7:30 in Beechwood or Mayfield because of the getting home factor. Its more to Beechwoods benefit to accomadate the time change because if Mayfield had you playing at 7:30 central , you would be getting home at 3:30 am.

No, it was Quality Inn, the prom was at Music Hall in Cincy. I just know it had a revolving restaurant. I'm going to give my family a little tour of Anderson Township on friday.

Hey Walter, Go back and read what you and every other Beechwood fan wrote last year. Mayfield is better than they were last year and quite frankly Beechwood is luck they didnt get 50 hung on them last year. 2 td's called back and the dogs called off at the end of the 3rd quarter. From what I have seen is that Beechwood has lost every game this year and last year but the NCC game that wasn't a district game. And they weren't competitive in most of these games where they lost. Does Beechwood still worry me ? yes.

Rookie, just because you have Mayfield listed as your location doesnt mean you're from Mayfield or even a Mayfield fan. As far as I know you haven't even seen them play in person. The schedule means nothing. Mayfield is 13-0 and will be 14-0 or 13-1. Mayfield has a solid team , Beechwood has a solid team.

In my opinion, the travel will make no difference in this matchup. Blocking and tackling will make the difference.

What Mayfield has that other 1A teams dont is Jackson who I think is the best overall player in 1A.

Well, I think PT is a better team than last year. They are way more disiplined than last year and have great overall team speed. As for Russelville I really dont follow them but I would think they would have some sorta chance. As for looking ahead to Central thats for the coach to make sure that doesn't happen. Being from far WKY, I will pull for PT to win it all.

Mayfield 35 LHC 7 Mayfield will have to much speed for them on offense and LHC will not be able to consistantly run the ball on them. I dont think LHC is known for their passing game. While I think LHC will be a worthy opponent ,unless the Cards lay an egg I dont see LHC winning this game.
