  1. Nicholas County is good upfront. They dominated the L.O.S tonight. Ludlow has a very nice athlete in #6. Also, #6 from N.C. is very tough!
  2. MArksberry is most overrated coach in NKY. They went on those runs with grat players. Have the ever won a game that they were not suppose to. If u say Male 3 yrs ago I will go bananas. They were an avergae Male team with a terrible offensive concept. Also, the savior, Big Bubba is the "O" line coach. They have been miserable the last 2 yrs. Its funny how athletes can make a coach look great and when u don't have them it shows your lack of coaching ability.
  3. 7- Carroll 5- Simon Kenton 3- Conner 2- Beechwood 1- Boone TB- Beechwood
  4. With that said, there are a lot of factors for tomorrow @Bracken. Injuries have decimated the Devils. Bracken is 3-1. IF, Dayton can control the L.O.S. they will be very successful. However, if they struggle to run the ball, it could be a long night. My prediction is...... dayton runs for over 200 yds and wins 22-12! Also, (play dance music now) praying for rain to slow down bracken's very fast QB!
  5. Dude, I am going to call somewhat a truce. Dayton has been severly put back several yrs. due to lack youth league and a moron for a H.C. the last couple yrs. He is better served doing what he is doing now. Great man, terrible H.C. It will be a short time before Dayton can get back to respectability. Best of Luck to your Tigers, except obviously when they play Dayton.
  6. And also # of coaches the last 3 yrs. Should of hired Montgomery. However, different thread!
  7. From the small schools: Dayton has 2 legit freshmen who start varsity. not by attrition but by talent. FB/MLB Brewer and NT/TE Turner. Sowder kid from Scott is good. Sounds like Beechwood has some very, very good cubs. Doesn't bode well for Class A, again.
  8. Dayton is struggling with injuries. The kids are improving at great strides. "Dude" let me know how ur Tigers do this week, getting smashed again!
  9. Very, very, young! They will be led by their big kid, if he commits to being a player and not a "thug". They have a sophmore PG who has a ton of potential and a very good freshmen class!
  10. Scott plays very hard, they are very fundamental, and get in your shorts. The Eagles take on the personality of their great Coach!
  11. You have no clue what you are talking about. I agree that the world, especially sports has become soft. That game last night would have been a much different story with a healthy QB. Dayton is on their 3rd QB. Say what you want but when healthy, example last week was the first and only time they were full strength, they are the second best team in Class A in NKY! Newport will get theirs!
  12. Congrats Mustangs! Can we start a prayer circle for Pendelton?
  13. Recap with no emotions: 7-0 Newport at half and the game is very physical. People of both schools are very suprised, especially with Dayton's QB and best LB on the bench. Both teams exchange punts and then Newport drives to 7 yd line for a 1st and goal. Dayton gets them 4 and 1 and drills #6, 2 yards in the backfield. However, #6 has the determination and leg drive and refuses to be denied and spins out and dives into endzone. 14-0 Newport. From there it is what it is. Dayton's spirit is broke but they are fighting their hearts out. Newport scores on a methodical drive ending with a slip screen into the flats to #9, 21-0. Dayton subs their jv in and Newport's varsity tacks on 2 fourth quarter scores. Final 35-0, Newport. Congrats to Wildcat players and parents. Much class shown by both players and fans from two very proud communities facing hard times.
  14. It was a very good game. Rogg got hurt the very first play. It wasn't a hit, he just got rulled up on, on a bootleg play. That made Dayton very one dimensional. With him out, Newport could focus just on the run game. This wasn't a game that Dayton gave away. You have to credit Newport for going out and winning. This was a very, very physical game. in the past under the former regime these kids would have folded. However, Coach Montgomery has instilled toughness into the program. Congrats to Newport, however if they lose out I think Coach Rice gets what he deserves and that is bad for those kids because they play hard.
  15. I was at the game. Both teams played physical! What I took from the game is the poor class shown by Coach Rice. It was very clear with it 21 to 0,that Dayton subbed ALL their JV guys in at the 6 minute mark due to the game getting chippy. Suprisingly, both teams' players showed class. However, Coach Rice left his varsity in to score again to make it 28 to 0. Then an onside kick, REALLY! It was called because I looked at Coach Rice and he was telling his kicker it was that close. Then Dayton with its JV in goes 3 and out. THEN, Coach Rice runs option with his first team!! I know Rice is upset that he was passed over by Dayton yrs. ago, but the, that coach is now on your sidelines as a coach. Don't punish the kids! This is the third year that he has done something very questionable to Dayton. It is about the kids, however, I hope they get theirs when Holy Cross and NCC just run it up on them. I try not to root for the private schools over public. But, based on tonight and Coach Rice's decisions, my two favorite teams are Dayton and whoever plays Newport!
  16. Go Panthers! Represent NKY Football. Best in the State!
  17. This darn Nicotine patch is driving me crazy. I need a Marlboro Red!
