Bishop Brossart 45 George Rogers Clark 32 Freshman Regional Tournment

Featured Replies

GRC led at the half 23-16. GRC only scores 9 points the second half. Hard to win and only score 9 points in a half.

BB has a very good Freshman team, look forward to watching them the next several year. #10 has great ball controll and handling skills. Also has a high Basketball IQ. Same with #40, man did he make some great moves without the ball to the basket tonight. Fun group to watch. Look out for BB the next several years, this group has some talent.

So nice to get to meet TAC tonight. Wish we had longer to talk!! Sorry I didn't get to talk to Mustang, hopeful will at the regional tourney.

Not only is it hard to win scoring 9 points in half but even harder when scoring 5 points lol (27 at half, 32 at final=5)

 I miss typed it. It was 23 at the half. I edited it.

You might want to change the title of this thread and put "Freshman" at the start ... some people will have a heartattack when they see that score.

I can hear the rumors now....

This is a good freshmen group. They play together well most of the time, but there are occasions such as the first half tonight when we get away from what is good to us and force the issue.

The second half was much better on both ends of the floor.

Sorry too Goldie that we didn't get to chat. When I went looking for you I was too late.

As you said, hopefully at the regionals.

You might want to tell your kids that if they are interensted they can listen to our broadcast replay via the BMustangs website. They can turn it off at halftime - lol!

#10 is Nate Verst who will likely be a starting varsity guard next year, and #40 is Alex Trentman - Very Rangy! I call him "Slinky."

How is the Burns boy doing? Did he play freshman or just JV?

Drew Burns has been strictly JV/Varsity this year. The method to our madness is that practicing with the varsity, he gets at least 20 minutes of dedicated practice a day working with Coach Bundy on his big man stuff. Erik Rieger, Jake's brother, is also up, but has had some serious shoulder issues.

Nice to meet you Goldie. Mustang was looking for you after the game, but I guess you had gone home to clean up after dinner.

Great game by both teams, it was the tale of two halves. GRC dominated the first half with stingy defense and some great offense, especially by Caudill. Brossart came out strong in the 2nd half, made some buckets that didn't fall in the first half and never looked back. An audio replay of the game is available on http://www.bmustangs.com.

Brossart plays Harrison County, who held on to beat Mason County in the finals 50-49. The game will be held Thursday night at GRC. Any one know of the game time?

Good. He looks like a "true" post player so that practice will hopefully help him develop.

Watched them dismantle the Grove and Scoot in the district. They are big and skilled. Their guards can shoot it. Was very impressed with PG. He can break down his defender at any time and knows when to dump off to a big, kick for a shooter or finish. He is the key to their team caus eof his ball pressure on defense. Every good team has good guard play!

What happened in the HC vs' MC game?

Harrison County defeated Mason County 50-49.

Harrison County led by 15 points going into the fourth quarter and the THorobreds survived.

Brossart will take on Harrison County at 7pm in the 10th Region Freshmen finals on Thursday night at 7pm at GRC.

Congratulations to Brossart freshmen! Although I hate to admit it, I love watching this team play. Good luck tomorrow night in the finals!

Jake Jennings typically runs the point for the Mustang freshman.
