Actually, I am a fan. You'd be surprised at how much I know about the football Mustangs. Just not very enamored with how they have chosen to conduct football business. It is being treated as a hobby. Bruce made a couple of plays that were not really routine but not gimme either. But also missed two that an experienced first basement could of had. Schumaker threw a runner out at home that probably would not have tried Bruce's arm/reputation. Overall, it was a wash.

Ryan Lloyd, who has spina bifida, graduated from Brossart about 3 years ago. His legs were severly under developed. While you would see him using crutches most of the time, it was also common to see him walking around on all fours. I know he played football for one year, and I think he also wrestled. There was a story in the news on him about playing football and it was also posted here on BGP!

The game has been traditionally the first Thursday in June. It was pushed back a week due to the county schools making up snow days. This hurt the small independent schools who still got out of school early. Many of those kids had already planned senior trips. One of my coworkers said the Bellevue kids all went to Myrtle Beach.

This program is on life support. Getting pounded in that district does absolutely no good. They finished last year with only 18 healthy bodies and graduated 9 seniors from that bunch. It's a good move, but should have happened 5-6 months ago.
