  1. It is Belfry and Central.......or Central and Belfry. Then the rest.
  2. Serious question - How many transfers or foreign exchange students does JBS have? Idris Akinyemi Princewill Anosike Elijah Branham Steven Silvers Any others?
  3. Honestly, the KHSAA has got enough issues, and this will just add to them.
  4. I think schools are going to have to go the route of hiring just coaches or not having athletics at all in the 6 major sports.....and only 3 of those are major in real life but title IX...... Volleyball, football, B/G basketball, baseball, and softball.
  5. I've thought long and hard about this. It all depends on the situation in all sports. Someone coaching at Phelps, no they shouldn't be fired based on wins and losses. Someone coaching at Belfry, Highlands, or Trinity? Yes they should. If they keep score, you try to win.
  6. Agreed. I also agree with not playing multiple games in a week, but you have to to compete in this tournament, which has been good for Belfry. It is what it is.
  7. You probably watched the worst game they have had all year and they are still not 100% healthy.
  8. False in the basketball community.....probably false in football.
  9. Will be ready next year 100%. No turf, sod on the field. Both of the turf fields in the county were paid for by private donations.
  10. Phelps will not be playing a home game this year. The field had some setbacks.
  11. I've said it before and I'll say it again. My money is on Scroggins/Central and Haywood/Belfry meeting the first weekend in December.
  12. I have been told that they are looking at 2 plans - 1 -Thursday, 2 - Friday, 3 - Sunday 3 - Thursday, 3 - Sunday - most likely. Less than 10% chance they are moved to anywhere else location wise.
  13. I think Belfry has ran something like 30 offensive plays in two weeks......
  14. Unfortunately there is going to come a time when they will have to go to other schools. I really wish that wasn't the case, but numbers wise, it will happen.
  15. They should play on the new field tonight or next week. They are fighting a numbers game in the school that I don't think they can win.
  16. It is. Almost unbearable at times.
  17. Who is better than those 2 on their side? In November my money is on Scroggins/Central until proven otherwise.
  18. If every team plays at their top level and potential, you will have a Belfry/Central finals. As we all know, that doesn't always happen.
  19. If a team doesn't have a $6k a year budget, they have no business playing football.
  20. Passionate people on both sides in this thread.
  21. Are you joking or do you really believe that? Do you just support football?
  22. Nothing needs to be changed with soccer. It is "the beautiful game" when played correctly. There is a lot of bad soccer in high school, even the "good teams" in some of our regions is awful.
  23. Same can be said for football. Football is losing members at the 4-8th grade levels. Too much emphasis on winning, too many daddy's play their kid at RB and QB, and leagues are ran horribly because they are about the almighty dollar instead of instruction. I will also add that have have experience with both at the K-8 level and my son plays both.
  24. I would be shocked if anything comes of it. AAU will be the scapegoat.
