  1. Yes good call. I didn't mean to slight Stephanie at all just forgot to mention her. There's a lot of young talent at NCC. We just didn't get to see much of it last year because they had a solid bunch of seniors ahead of them. I think NCC is going to have a very good year!!
  2. I agree with your assesment. Keirnan will be solid. IMO Siebert, Mayes and Ware will be the key to NCC's success this year. If those 3 players play to their potential then I think NCC will have a very good year. There are others as well but IMO those 3 are very talented players who will have to grow up this year. If they do then I think NCC could be Very good!!!
  3. I agree. I wonder if she will have to be this year?
  4. Yeah I've watched her play several times. Just to give you a idea she was a honorable mention as a sophomoe in the Herald (All Star Team List at the end of the year) I also saw her drop 20 on Owensboro Catholic in the All A last year. Shes a guard that can take you off the dribble she has a better than average outside shot and a good defender. She may very well be the most talanted player on Owen's current roster.
  5. Thanks for that update. That is very good news for Oldham!!
  6. I totally agree. I know that there is new enthusiasm in the program and that returning players like McMurtrey will be in much better spirits this year. That should translate into better play. That program went through a lot last year and I know they are happy to have that chapter behind them and to be able to get back to just playing basketball.
  7. I know it's kind of out there but I think some will be surprised with Williamstown this year. Simply based on what I have seen over the summer I think they will be much improved. They will be very young but very talented.
  8. Ok I'm going to throw it out there. This is just my opinion. While I'm certainly not saying Williamstown will compete for the Region. I do think they will beat several of the teams on this top ten list.
  9. Thanks for adding Hunter to the list of players that will be key for Conner this year. I didn't mean to slight her at all just forgot to mention her.
  10. I'm a big fan of Jordan's and she is a great player who can take over games at times but Jordan is not going to create a lot of her own shots. The key for Jordan to be able to play her game is a good point guard who can create shots for her. While Jordan has gotten much better at taking people off the dribble this year her bread and butter is the 3. I think Conner's point guard play will be the key to how far they will go. IMO the combination of Pluto and Rising Star Taylor Gambrel will fill that need at point guard. Dont forget Madi Meyers is a very talented player on the inside also. I predict she will have a very big year.
  11. Just my opinion. Time will tell. 1.NDA 2.New Cath 3.Highlands 4.Conner 5.Ryle 6.Boone 7.Holy Cross
  12. I agree I think guard play will be as solid as anybody in the 8th for Gallatin. I saw Brooke Dossett play several times over the summer with a very talented team and she played a ton of minutes and was a leader on that team. I think her decision making and all around game improved this summer. I saw Hannah Dossett play just a couple times and her shooting is still lights out. If I'm Gallatin just IMO I'm not so concerned with post players as I am in players that can run the floor and are athletic enough to really get after teams with a pressing defense. With the guard talent they have if they can force teams to play up tempo and limit their half court possesions I think they will be a very dangerous team.
  13. Congrats to Courtney and her family. I know you guys have worked hard for this!!!!!
  14. Congrats to the Shining Stars what a great accompishment for this group of girls!!!!
  15. Jordan is such a great young lady and such a solid player. She has a great basketball IQ Any school would be very fortunate to have her represent them on and off the floor!!!
  16. Wow!!! I'm surprised how does Bailey Cummins not make the list?
  17. Couldn't be more wrong. In the Civil Rights movement and the American Revolution they actually took the fight to their opponents. Even though they knew the odds were not in there favor they fought for what they believed in. In the American Revolution I'm sure glad they didn't all stand around and look at the Cannon!!!!
  18. I said it before and I will say it again. "Teach your kids how to play and let them go give it their best. This is not a strategy this is giving up on your kids and your ability to coach. Hey girls I don't believe in you at all so we are going to just go out and stand with the ball because you have no chance of winning and I know it. I wonder if she kicked em in the rear as they left the locker room and said get out of here losers. Wow!!!!!
  19. Oh it is Highlands fault no argument there!!!!
  20. Are you kidding!! No other coach in the region is going to follow this embarrasmet for their school and their players. Teach your kids how to play and let them go give it their best. This is not a strategy this is giving up on your kids and your ability to coach. Hey girls I don't believe in you at all so we are going to just going to go out and stand with the ball because you have no chance of winning and I know it. I wonder if she kicked em in the rear as they left the locker room and said get out of here losers. Wow!!!!!
