Basketball season for 2012-2013 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Conner? Remember, please be constructive.

High expectations this year. Have a very good players with Jordan Scott, Maddie Meyers. Concerned a little with depth of bench. Also have a talented freshman class but not sure how much they will be able to contribute at the varsity level.

Is the Meyers young lady a center? I agree she looked strong in the few games I watched this summer. I watched Conner this summer and they had two big girls and a point guard that looked pretty good. I also believe they have two talented freshman that played varsity as 8th graders. I thought the point guards name was Pluto and in another post someone said she is being recruited by some D3 schools. I agree Scott should be a beast this year for Conner. I also heard there is a group of seniors that have been playing together since grade school.

Coach Stamm will lead the Cougars to the top of District 33 this year! He has the players and he is a good coach. They should leave the rest of District 33 in the dust.

Bold prediction. Boone and Ryle have not left this district that i know of. Conner can have the pressure. We will see what happens

I agree Conner needs to compete and play themselves into a district championship! The 33rd is Boone's and Ryle's to lose. Let' s not all forget what happened to the Conner boys with all the pre season hype a couple of years ago. I like what coach Stamm has done and he will have the girls ready but the games are won and lost on the floor. Good Luck to the Lady Cougars and focus on winning games one at a time!

Conner will go as far as Jordan Scott can carry them.

Totally disagree Jordan is a very good player, but Conner has other players that can help them win.

I agree, they have a good set of core players. They might not average 20 ppg, but they know their roles and fit well into what Coach Stamm is doing. I think the future is bright for the Cougars!

I do feel Jordan Scott is key to this team, as I have mentioned in previous post I also think this team can be very diverse, the PG seems to have a good handle of the team and from the little I saw can take the ball to the hoop when she needs to. They had 2 post players, seemed both around six feet, and had some girls filling in other rolls quite nicely. They had a girl who seemed to play very hard and could score. I think Jordan Scott would be tough to replace but she will need others around her to carry the load.

I'm a big fan of Jordan's and she is a great player who can take over games at times but Jordan is not going to create a lot of her own shots. The key for Jordan to be able to play her game is a good point guard who can create shots for her. While Jordan has gotten much better at taking people off the dribble this year her bread and butter is the 3. I think Conner's point guard play will be the key to how far they will go. IMO the combination of Pluto and Rising Star Taylor Gambrel will fill that need at point guard. Dont forget Madi Meyers is a very talented player on the inside also. I predict she will have a very big year.

I agree with you on Meyers. I look for her to have an excellent season. Coach Stamm is counting on Gambrel and the other outstanding freshmen (Hendricks) to really step up their games this season. It should be an exciting year for the Lady Cougars.

Your right Boone and Ryle have not left the district. But the D1 talent they had last year have left the district. Boone and Ryle are not the same teams as last year.

Pluto and Scott are returning starters and I think that combined experience will be key. The other players mentioned all have big potential but still need to adjust to playing varsity on a regular basis. I hope the other players mentioned adjust quickly to playing full time varsity, that is a big jump! I think Pluto is also a key and will have a big year. To my knowledge she has been visiting schools and has received some D3 offers.
