Thanks RP.

Should be an exciting year in the 8th. I honestly think Anderson Co. should be #1 and Walton #2 just because Walton lost so much on the perimeter and guard positions. I think that the progress of the point and perimeter shooters will determine how good Walton will be. They have a brutal schedule which should benefit them come February. Collins is my dark horse this year.

Individually, I would put Owings and Hearn a little higher.

Although I could nitpick this a little bit, I believe that Mr Herndon did a wonderful job. Much better than the individual that did it in previous years. Speculating on the teams and players is part of the fun, and will be interesting to see the outcomes out the end of the season.

Did she grow 8 inches or so in the last two months?

I doubt it. Shes more 5"3. I thought B.Dossett should of been higher and was surprised her sister didnt make the list. I suspect they split votes. Cant argue much about the team rankings. After.checking the khsaa website most of the top teams play head to head this

year. Cant wait to see Sk and gallatin. Owings and Dossett go head to head. Watched them this summer and Dossett got the best of her. Enjoy watching both play. See how it goes in season. I hear GC has a top notch gym.

1-Anderson Co. (based on returning roster; but to be honest, simply being one year older may not benefit this bunch)

2-W-V & Simon Kenton (SK will win the district this year, but it might not matter come region tourney)

4-Gallatin Co. (it's nearly a dead-heat between Gallatin and Owen this year)

5-Owen Co.

6-South Oldham

7-Collins

8-Oldham Co.

9-Grant Co.

10-Shelby Co. (may have an improved record, but their super-weak schedule the past few years will catch up with them)

A nice crop of top players, but not the level at the tip-top of last year - some fine D-II, D-III and NAIA potential, but no bonafide Div.-I names on this list. This will be an interesting and slightly unpredictable in the 8th, with new faces on the floor and on the sidelines creating a bit of a shift in the balance of power from the past few campaigns.

Cann already has offers from WKU, EKU, and Austin Peay...all 3 division 1 teams (and she's just a junior) with at least a dozen more seriously interested.

That's great news for her - and news not yet heard. Any others? That makes it one and counting. If there are more in the mix, getting word out helps to promote the region in a better way. The college recruiting process (and is not to be at all confused with the type of recruiting that takes place in the years preceding college) is a unique thing. Basically, college coaches create a "suspects list," and then cull it down to a "prospects list." Simply put : letters and calls is level one; level two is receiving offers; signing day is level three.

Billie Hearn (Grant County) has committed to Morehead.

I know the girl from Grant County (Hearn?) committed to Morehead a few months back if I remember correctly. Sandlin has verbaled to Bellarmine...Mckee is receiving some interest but as far as I know has no offers yet....and then Cann has a handful of offers as said above. I would say the Wells girl from Collins is receiving interest, but I have not heard who or how serious.
