Owen County's Rianna Gayheart sets Owen single season record for Points and Assists

Just heard that Owen County's Rianna Gayheart has broken the Owen County Lady Rebels' single season school record for most Points and most Assists in a single season. And she will continue to build on that record as the Lady Rebels play in the 8th Region tournament. For the 2011-12 season she currently has 494 points and 149 assists. A remarkable achievement. Congratulations to Rianna! :thumb:

Congrats to Rianna, the assist total is an impressive number. She truly makes her teammates better. I would imagine that life for her teammates will not be quite as easy after she graduates.

(Quick question, who's record(s) did she break? I'm guessing that that Katie Smith may have held the points record, but wondering if Blair Shryock may have had the assist record, since I believe Ellie Petzinger was playing at the same time. Anybody know?)
