  1. I'm not certain but I think Neeley still has to wear a mask from a broken nose. I don't know that it will be a factor but could effect her shooting.
  2. Bracken has been impressive as a team this year. Its also becoming more evident that Bailey Cummins is for real.
  3. I hear what your saying and understand the thought process. However there are more schools within a half hour of Walton which they could compete against year and year out than are in the NCKC all together. I just don't think it makes any sense at all.
  4. I'm not arguing your point I'm just trying to make some sense of it. There are several teams that are in the 8th region who are geographically a lot closer to most of the schools in the NCKC than Walton who are not in the NCKC. I just don't think that Henry Co Trimble Co Carroll Co. Owen Co. exactly surround Walton Verona. Simon Kenton is in the 8th region and not in the NCKC as far as proximity to Walton. I just am curious as to what the benefit was for Walton.
  5. Sorry off the thread here but I have often wondered why Walton Verona would be in ( or stay in the NCKC) I just don't see any benefit? Is there something I'm missing???
  6. I would and I will say I have certainly heard it from Varsity Boys coaches as well. There is just no place for it in High School Athletics. I think your probably right in that when it's male coaches to male players to some it's somehow not as bad. I'm not saying coaches should be perfect and I understand sometimes the game can get the better of you but cursing at players is never acceptable and when I here it happen it tells me all I need to know about a coach.
  7. I agree with RCC9. You can defend her all you want that doesn't mean she's right. I respect Nell's knowlege of the game. I do not respect her as a person or a role model for student athletes. Theres no judging going on here. She says the F word on a regular basis around her players. I've heard it many on here have heard it. There is no place for it under any circumstance. And I do coach and where your heart as a coach is often comes through with what your mouth says during games. A coach that would use the F Word reguarly around High School Players is a it's about me coach rather than a it's about the kids and making them better players but more importantly better people. Like RCC9 said also when it comes to coaching I'm hard core as well as far as demanding that kids play hard learn from there mistakes and play with heart. But never would I look a kid in the face in the huddle and drop a F-Bomb in there face.
  8. Congrats!!! Gallatin continues to impress me more and more. They are going to be a tough out come tournament time!!
  9. This was one of the best High School Girls basketball games I've watched in a long time. Crisp execution by both teams on offense. Terrific effort on the defensive end. This game IMO is a instant Classic. Congrats to both teams on a great display of high level High School Girls Basketball.
  10. Got ya thanks for the info. Glad to see Brooke Dossett scoring so well. She is going to be Hard to Guard this year.
  11. I did see Taylor playing with the Shining Stars this summer.
  12. Congrats to Emily!! Looking forward to watching her play this year and next..
  13. They looked very good against St. Ursuline in a scrimmage on Friday. They played very well as a team. One stand out that looks like she has made a major jump from last year was sophomore Alexus Mayes. She was really impressive with her ability to play on the perimiter shoot the 3 and also has some very good moves on the post. I feel like she is going to be tough to handle this year if she keeps up what I saw Friday. I think this season looks very bright for New Cath.
  14. FBD: Did Reed play any point for Owen?
  15. I didn't get to see Bracken last season so don't know much about them other than I did get to watch Bailey Cummins play several times over the summer. She is a real talent and can score the ball. I'm looking forward to keeping a eye on them this season. Good Luck to Coach Kelsch as well!!!
  16. I think this team will be a pleasent surprise to Williamstown fans this year. Although they are young they are young with some experience. IMO they will win the games they should and will also knock off some teams that people wouldn't expect.
