From the KY Post, John Lachmann..."

Senior point guard Anna Matchinga became the first player in Covington Latin girls' basketball history to record 1,000 points in the Trojans’ 48-29 win over Ludlow at the Stephanie Wilson Memorial Tournament on Thursday. Matchinga hit a second-quarter field goal to accomplish that feat. She needed six points to reach the 1,000-point threshold and finished with 19, including eight in the fourth quarter to help seal the game.
