  1. 2002 I believe USA Today had Lexington Catholic in the top 15. Otherwise I'd say so unless Mason Co. got ranked in the Lofton years. Also congrats to Scott Co. for getting the state some pub.
  2. You are correct, starting center Kellie Cash sat out this game with the coach. Just read it in the paper. Not sure why they had to sit out but it had to do with the Lafayette game.
  3. Is it just me or do game threads not actually even discuss the game anymore?
  4. Too many unforced errors. End of story. Bradley can do a lot of good, and he can sometimes do a lot of bad. Meeks is still showing he is a freshman. The kid brings intensity and talent but he makes some awful decisions at times. This isn't a bash the refs comment but did anyone else really dislike the charging call on Bradley that gave him his fourth. I thought it was horrible. Then a Tennessee player takes one to the hole a minute or so later, runs over Meeks who I really felt was not moving and hits a layup for one and the basket. Still, Kentucky not stopping the three ball early and still not finding Randolph Morris even close to often enough is what beat this team. (Who cringed when they saw Morris on the ground holding his knee? I know I did)
  5. I'd say this win might be a good starting spot for the Lady Knights getting some of their focus back. My dad said Lex Cath was in control of this game most of the night. No idea on stats but got to be a good win for this team.
  6. Cash, Snowden Seniors. Green, Novosel Juniors. Wilson Sophmore. The bench is mainly juniors and sophmores. Sounds like the Lady Knights have been in a funk lately. Not to take away from Clay Co. but after the Holiday Season the Lady Knights seemed to be head and shoulders above most the state, but the past month they have really seemed to struggle. No depth and little size might be catching up to them.
  7. John Logan was probably the fastest I saw play being teammates with him all four years of high school. I remember running an 80 yard sprint with him one year and being a good ten or so yards behind him it seemed at the end. He was legit 4.29 or so speed. If he caught the ball in any space then he was likely to take it to the yard.
  8. Lex Cath when they are shooting well and operating well defensively and offensively is still probably the favorite. However, this team lacks depth, height, and intensity at times. Get some players in foul trouble and keep the pressure up and the Lady Knights are beatable. Congrats Sacred Heart. Still, I wouldn't want to face the Lady Knights in the tournament. Five starters who have won the State Championship and handled tough games suggest this team still has poise and experience. March might seem more wide open but I'd still say that if Scott Co. or Lex Cath win the 11th they will be a huge favorite still.
  9. 11th? Henry Clay, LCA, Lex Catholic, Scott Co.
  10. Lex Cath also finished ranked in the top 10 I think in '02 when they won state. Their two losses were to traditional powerhouse Dematha high school by 1 and West Jessamine by 1.
  11. I sadly didn't get to see or listen to this game today besides a few brief moments when my internet worked today. Sounded like UK played slow for a lot of the first half and some of the second before finally finding their shot again and pouring it on. Sadly, Im only speculating here since I was forced to watch the Iowa-Wisconsin game here in St. Louis.
  12. Meeks has played well here and there but I wouldn't jump the gun on him just yet. The kid has talent and a good Jumper but watching him in some games such as the Vandy loss it was pretty noticeable that he is still a freshman. He forces the ball sometimes too often and takes some ill advised jumpers here and there. Still, if UK gets guys like Meeks, Stevenson, Sheray, and Porter to give them solid games off the bench then this team can be tough.
  13. LCA is definately gonna be tough. Lex Cath didn't play with nearly enough energy against them in the game I saw and by the same token, LCA's press did as much bad as good for them. Both however are pretty solid usually. I haven't seen Scott Co. this season but w/ Gray and a good supporting cast you always gotta expect a tough game. Definately a tough region.
  14. I don't fully agree or disagree. As w/ all Tubby teams this team is too unpredictable to figure out. I know Morris had some foul trouble this game but this team has to at some point realize that on offense, we begin w/ Morris. He doesn't have to score every time down but there is no reason he shouldn't touch the ball at least once every time down. The team had seemed to have been playing well w/ 11 wins( albeit against so-so competition) but Vandy seemed to kill whatever rhythm they had. Gonna have to find it again, if they don't I agree w/ ya.
  15. With Lofton or w/o? That is a serious Q real quick. Still Ugh, the Cats seem to suddenly have forgot how to play well together. USC wasn't great but we were also a much different team that game then we have been these last two. All I gotta say is....FIND MORRIS!!!!!
  16. THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!! Or we just aren't playing very well right now.
  17. Wow, outscoring a team by 13 in an extra period sounds like riding some MO!!
  18. This guy had a pretty bad game and those eyes were WAY too big.
  19. HB20, What do you think would be a more reasonable way for the G-men to improve the offense because the end of the season was pathetic. The Giants might have made the playoffs but it was only by default I felt. Frankly while I think Eli has some great potential and talent, I frankly can't currently say that I like the Eli-Rivers trade they made years ago to get him. In his defense, I think Toomer's injury this season really took away from the passing game. Anyways, gotta love the Giants but their O has got to improve.
  20. Sounds like a pretty good game. I figured Catholic was gonna have a tough week playing three teams away from home with Tates Creek and Mason Co. being on back to back nights and Lex Christian sometimes being pesky on their court. The Knights are a good team that isn't quite at great just yet but I think they will give some people a challenge come tournament time thanks to good height and some solid shooters.
  21. No doubt were these games awesome. 16 points is the margin of victory for all four games combined. Man did it suck to be on the losing sideline for them. Im very happy to see these two back in district together.
  22. Pac-10 is 1st and SEC second currently for me. ACC probably my third.
