So let's say the QB has the height, good mechanics, good arm strength, poise in the pocket, and is starting to be recruited by D1 schools. What passer rating jumps off the page at a recruiter?

What level of passing efficiency or passer rating does a high school QB need to get the attention of D1 programs? Using the ((8.4 * YDS) + (330 * TD) - (200 * INT) + (100 * COMP))/ATT formula, I believe 158.3 is considered perfect. What the approximate score that seperates a really good high school QB from all the good high school QBs...150, 140, 130?

Scott County was in control virtually this entire game. Tates Creek gained momentum in the beginning of the first half with an onside kick and subsequent TD, but Scott County regained control and never let up. SC showed a well rounded offense and solid defense. Their winning streak should continue through to tournament time.

I appreciate and admire the success of T and X football programs, and I've been told it's an exciting game to experience. Don't misread the intention of this post. I would love for KY to known nationally as a great BASKETBALL & FOOTBALL state, but I'm struggling to understand how this rivalry benefits the rest of the KY high school football programs? (BE GENTLE)

Boyle Co has too many athletes for Lafayette to keep track of and block or contain.

Nicholas Co will pull out a close win. They have an outstanding runningback named Pope that will give LCA's defense problems. He's fast.

Congrats to the Colts! I watched some of this game on ihigh. West Jessamine dominated the first half with a few turnovers by both teams; good mix of passing running and QB draws. Then the bulk of the turnovers occured in the second half when TC was pressing to catch up. The Colts looked good.

Scott County by 7, regardless of turnovers. Their new starters just needed some experience.

I have been around two program and both were carefull to recognize and deal with concussions. Does anyone know if high schools are required to report concussions to KHSAA? You too commonly hear of kids receiving there second or third concussion, or more. At some point the kid should be prohibited from continuing to play. D1 programs supposedly stop looking at high school recruits after their third concussion because the health risks grow exponentially with each subsequent concussion. Should a limit be enforced to protect these kids?

Was it all turnovers, or was West Jessamine's offense doing something Tates Creek couldn't handle?

Unfortunate life lesson for LCA team. Handled very well! We should all use this as a teaching opportunity with our kids.

Too quick to judge. Most champions faced a few losses during season. The recovery process solidified their determination and heart. There are some good central Kentucky 6A teams maturing as the season roles on. Someone will have the bugs worked out by post season play and make a run for Bowling Green.

HC by 7; too much speed.

Tates Creek will have to control WJ's passing attack or WJ by 7.

Ryle by 14. Their QB is a play maker.

On the surface, Tates Creek's schedule so far has been more challenging. There defense has been doing a good job of limiting the opponent's passing yards with the exception of one game. West Jessamine is a passing team this year. If TC can control WJ's passing game, TC wins by a TD. If WJ can find holes in TC's secondary, WJ wins by at least 2 TDs.

Our prayers go to the family and school as well. These reality checks are sobering and cause us all to reaccess our priorities...hopefully.

This should be a good game because both teams have something to prove after last Friday's games. GRC is eager to show that their loss was a fluke, and penalties beat them. SC wants to prove that inexperience (penalties & turnovers) beat them in the first three games. They were solid across the board against Oldham. Both teams have a dual threat QB, solid core of RBs, a go-to receiver, and physical defenses. This will be a good battle to watch.

Scott County's record is deceiving, and the games have been closer than the final scores indicate. They are a relatively young team...only 3 returning senior starters and 2 returning junior starters on offense, and similar stats on defense. They reloaded with talented athletes and are gaining the skills and determination that only experience can teach. Scott County will right the ship and be strong through district and tournament play.

They made it to the 6A semifinals last year and only lost 6 starters. Was told those positions have been filled with top talent. Should be a good year.
