Under normal circumstances, LCA would be considered a clear favorite in this game. However, LCA is coming off a 62-0 drilling at the hands of Lexington Catholic, where they were minus several players.

Nicholas County is 3-2 and coming off a respectable loss to Raceland 28-12.

How will this one shake out?

Nicholas Co will pull out a close win. They have an outstanding runningback named Pope that will give LCA's defense problems. He's fast.

I'm interested to see how this game shakes out. Nicholas is a respectable team. LCA is a bit of an unknown right now, many expect them to dominate, but they haven't done that, and I think most of their expectations are from last season and they just don't have last year's team this year. I look forward to hearing about this game.

If LCA has their players back, I think you have to pick LCA. This is going to be a very motivated team and Nicholas County has the misfortune of being next on the agenda.

Is Nicholas better than Breathitt or CAL. I don't think those two gave LCA's defense too many problems. LCA graduated lots on offense from last years team, but 7 starters returned from last year's defense. Plus I hear that Zach West is playing d-line this year, that big body lined up over the opposing team's center has to help some!!!! LCA drops back down to single A competition with a sour tast in their mouth. I feel sorry for Nicholas County.

I believe if LCA's team is altogether Nicholas Co. is going to be in trouble from the start. I think LCA will try to make a statement. Mostly because of everyone saying how bad they got beat. And no one wants to talk about all the players that didn't get to play. If the team is back together and their minds are where they should be it's my belief that LCA will make the rest of the season a statement season. So the rest of us better be ready for the best that LCA has to offer!!!

Why did LCA have players missing last week?

Why did LCA have players missing last week?

Internal discipline. Also illness.

BTW, welcome to BGP, rookie57!

LCA wins this one. Nicholas County is much improved but they do not have enough for LCA. Good luck to both teams.

Won't be that close after 1st quarter, LCA by 40.
